We lift this dear brother up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, grieving over the physical and emotional wounds he has endured. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. Lord, we declare that this man is precious in Your sight, and we ask that You would surround him with Your healing, protection, and peace.
We rebuke the spirit of violence and manipulation that has taken root in this situation. The Word of God is clear: "A man’s pride will bring him low, but one of lowly spirit will obtain honor" (Proverbs 29:23). This woman’s actions, her history of broken marriages, her violence, and her threats, are not of You, Lord. We pray that You would break the chains of deception and sin in her life, that she may come to repentance and know the transforming power of Christ. But for now, we ask that You would remove her influence from this man’s life and shield him from further harm.
We also address the sin of fornication in this situation. This man was entangled in a relationship outside the bounds of marriage, and while we do not condemn him, we must speak truth in love. Scripture warns, "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). Lord, we pray that this brother would turn away from any ungodly relationships and seek Your will for his life. May he find strength in You to walk in purity and wisdom, trusting You to provide a godly spouse in Your perfect timing.
Father, we ask for Your divine protection over this man as he removes himself from this toxic environment. "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower" (Psalm 18:2). We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will go before him to make the crooked places straight (Isaiah 45:2). Give him wisdom as he gathers his belongings, and let no harm come to him or his family.
We pray for his physical healing, Lord. Touch his body and restore him completely, from the bruises and wounds to the deeper hurts of betrayal and fear. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). Comfort him in this time of distress, and let him feel Your presence as a refuge and strength.
We also lift up his family, who are understandably concerned for his safety. Give them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and wisdom in how to support him without provoking further conflict. May they trust in You, knowing that You are their protector and provider.
Lord, we ask that You would draw this brother closer to You during this trial. If he does not yet know You as his Savior, we pray that he would surrender his life to Jesus Christ, the only One who can save and redeem. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). If he is already a believer, we pray that this season would deepen his faith and reliance on You.
Finally, we ask that You would provide for all his needs, emotional, physical, and practical. Open doors for safe housing, financial provision, and godly community. Let him experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways, so that his trust in You grows stronger each day.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has overcome the world and holds this brother securely in His hands. Amen.
