Prayer request for a man having court. He wasn’t taught well growing up. He was growing up seeing his dad with a hooker type lady that his dad called his 2nd wife and seen his dad’s girlfriend his dad said is his second wife flirt with him and when he got older he has been trying to keep dating a married woman that has been married 5 times. Then he ended up having court after court they are saying he may go to prison but his family don’t understand why. Please pray for this man that was taught wrong. Seen his parents drink and drinks alcohol and sometimes chews tobacco and does drugs. Please pray he gets born again. That God helps him in his life. Guides him where he wasn’t guided. Let God's wil, plans be done in his life. Instead of satans will.

We lift this man before the Lord together and we carry this burden with you in prayer, asking for God's mercy, truth, and transforming power in his life in Jesus' name.

We hear how deeply this man was failed growing up. When a father models adultery and calls a woman who is not his wife his second wife, that is not marriage as God ordained it, and it teaches confusion and sin to a child. God ordained marriage to be a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, what God has joined together, let no man separate, Matthew 19:6, and marriage should be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers, Hebrews 13:4. You shall not commit adultery, Exodus 20:14. What his father called a second wife was adultery and fornication, and for his father's girlfriend to flirt with him as a boy was also sinful and harmful. We do not excuse what was modeled, but we know the Scripture says Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it, Proverbs 22:6, and when that training is perverted, a child learns perversion. Yet each man must give account for his own choices before God, for the soul who sins, he shall die, and God calls each of us to repentance regardless of our upbringing.

We must lovingly rebuke what has continued in his adult life because we want to see him delivered and not deceived. To keep pursuing and dating a married woman, especially one who has been married five times, is adultery and fornication, and it is forbidden by God. Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery, Luke 16:18. We are to flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18, for this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, 1 Thessalonians 4:3. A boyfriend and girlfriend relationship should be understood as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer who is free to marry, not an entanglement with someone already bound in covenant to another man. Continuing in this sin invites God's judgment and also brings the very legal and personal consequences he is now facing in court. We also must address the alcohol, tobacco, and drugs. To be drunk with wine is excess, but to be filled with the Spirit, Ephesians 5:18, and our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit, therefore we are to glorify God in our body, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. These substances enslave and defile and open the door to the adversary who walks about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, 1 Peter 5:8.

We understand his family does not understand why court after court and the threat of prison has come, but Scripture is clear that sin has consequences and God has ordained governing authorities to punish wrongdoing, Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, Romans 13:1, and that the Lord disciplines those He loves, Hebrews 12:6. Prison may be a consequence of his actions, but it can also become a place where God breaks the chains of satan's will and brings repentance. The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly, John 10:10. Satan's will is to keep this man in lust, addiction, and rebellion, but God's will is to save and sanctify him.

We join you in praying that he be born again, and we pause here because you asked for God to help him but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. To be born again Jesus said Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he cannot see God's Kingdom, John 3:3. That new birth comes when we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, Romans 10:9, and we become a new creation, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new, 2 Corinthians 5:17. Without calling on Jesus, there is no forgiveness, no new heart, and no power to walk away from sin. The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord, Romans 6:23.

So we pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift this man to You who has been taught wrong and wounded by his father's sin and example. We ask You to have mercy on him in his court case. Let Your justice be done, but we ask for Your mercy to triumph over judgment where there is repentance. Give the judges and authorities wisdom, and let no satanic scheme prevail, but let Your will and Your plans be done in his life. We pray that You grant him godly sorrow that leads to repentance, that he would turn from adultery, fornication, drunkenness, and drug use, and turn to Jesus. Lord, deliver him from addiction and cleanse his body and mind, fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and make him a new creation in Christ. Break the pattern of pursuing a married woman and give him a hatred for sin and a hunger for righteousness. Where he was not guided, be his Guide. Where he was taught wrong, teach him Your truth and Your word. Transform him by the renewing of his mind, Romans 12:2, and lead him in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake. We pray for his family, open their eyes to understand that sin brings consequences but Your grace can redeem, and help them to speak truth in love and not enable sin. We pray that if it is Your will for him to marry, You would in Your time provide a godly wife who is a believer and free to marry, and that he would pursue courtship that honors You and leads to a lifelong marriage covenant between one man and one woman. Save him, Lord, wash him in the blood of Jesus, let him confess Jesus as Lord and be born again, that Your will, not satan's will, would rule his life from this day forward. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We are grateful you brought this man before the Lord with such compassion. It is painful to watch someone carry patterns he learned as a boy, especially when home taught him confusion about marriage and about alcohol and drugs, and now he faces serious court consequences his family struggles to understand.

We join you in asking God to meet him exactly where he is, to draw him to new life in Christ and to guide him where he was never guided before. The Lord can untangle what years of poor example have knotted, and He delights to lead anyone who turns to Him toward wholeness and a clear path forward.

One practical way to love him well right now is to help him have steady, godly support around the court process. If he is willing, help connect him with a trusted pastor or mature Christian mentor who can walk with him in person, encourage honesty with his attorney, and point him toward wise help for the alcohol and drug use alongside prayer. Your continued prayers and calm presence matter more than you may know.

Father, we lift this man to You in Jesus name. Draw him to Yourself, grant him new birth, forgive and cleanse him, and set his feet on Your way. Give him wisdom, humility and strength to face what is ahead, guide the court with fairness, and lead his family with peace as they trust Your will to be done. Amen.

Your prayer request has been laid before the Lord and we join you in seeking His mercy for this man.

We pray that God in His sovereign grace will bring this man to a new birth, for except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. Though he was taught wrong from his youth and saw sin modeled before him in his father's house, in drinking and in impurity, each soul must yet look unto Christ for himself to be saved. Salvation is not by good upbringing nor by works, but without money and without price, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. We pray he will look unto Jesus and be saved, for whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

We do not ask God to bless the pursuit of a married woman, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and to seek after another man's wife is sin before God. We pray instead that this man will be delivered both from the guilt of sin and from the power of sin, that he will see his need of a ransom and turn from this path and from all that has ensnared him, whether drink, tobacco, drugs, or unclean desires, and trust wholly in Christ who alone can break the bondage he loves.

We pray also for his trial before the court. We ask that the Lord's will and purpose be done, that justice and mercy would meet, and that whatever the outcome, this affliction may be sanctified to him. The greatest deliverance is not from prison alone, but from the pit of hell, for God has found a ransom in the blood of His own Son. If this man is brought to see that he can do nothing to save himself and must cast himself upon free grace, then even this dark hour will become as silver and gold to his soul.

We pray that God will guide him where he was not guided, that He will bring him forth by His own hand, and that He will give him wells of salvation in fellowship with Christ. We pray that his family also may be given understanding and that they may be drawn to intercede for his soul more than for his outward deliverance.

May the clock of mercy strike now for him, and may he look and live. We commend him to the Lord Jesus, who is able to save to the uttermost all who come unto God by Him.

We have heard your burden for this man and we join you in prayer for him before God.

We pray that God will have mercy on him and bring him to new birth through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other way of salvation. What he saw growing up does not excuse sin, but it helps us understand the chains that have bound him. When a father lives in adultery and drunkenness and calls what is sin by another name, a son learns a crooked path. Yet each of us must give account to God for our own life, and God is able to guide where no earthly father guided and to break chains that earthly example has forged.

Scripture teaches that our present life can be like a prison when sin binds the soul with heavy chains, and that the love of money, drunkenness, and impurity keep a man from finding the door. We pray that God will show this man that his greatest prison is not only the court that awaits him on earth, but the prison of sin in his own heart, and that Christ alone can set him free. As the apostles sang at midnight and the prison doors were opened, so we pray that even if he must face earthly judgment, his soul may be loosed and brought into true freedom.

We also pray with clarity about his pursuit of a married woman. God has ordained marriage as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and has kept sexual union within that covenant. To pursue a woman who is married to another, even if she has been married many times before, is adultery, and it is sin against God and against his own soul. We cannot ask God to bless that relationship, and we pray instead that God will convict him of this sin, grant him repentance, and turn his heart completely away from it. If he himself is married, his duty is to be faithful to his own wife. If he is unmarried, his duty is to flee sexual immorality and to pursue purity. We pray that he will learn what Christ taught, that adultery begins in the heart and that God calls us to holiness.

We pray for his bondage to alcohol, tobacco and drugs, that God will deliver him from these and give him a sober and clear mind to seek the Lord.

For his court case we pray that God's will and not the enemy's will be done. We ask that earthly justice be carried out rightly, that the judge and the court will act justly, and that God will use even this trial to awaken him. Trials can make a man approved when he turns to God in them, and we pray that this hardship will lead him not to hardness but to confession and faith. We pray that he will come before God now with confession while there is time, so that he will not stand before the final judgment still bound by his sins.

So we pray: Father, have mercy on this man. Forgive his sins through the blood of Jesus Christ. Make him born again by your Spirit. Break the power of the sin he learned and the sin he has chosen. Deliver him from adultery, from drunkenness and from drugs. Give him a new heart and a new path, and guide his steps where he was never guided before. Be present with him in the courtroom, let your perfect will be done in his life, and use his family to speak truth in love to him. Lead him out of the prison of sin into the freedom of obedience to Christ. In the name of Jesus we ask this, Amen.

Your burden for this man is heard, and it is right to bring him before the Lord in prayer. It is painful to hear how much confusion was modeled for him from childhood, seeing his father live unfaithfully and call it marriage, seeing drinking and other habits treated as normal, and even experiencing broken boundaries in his own home. That kind of example leaves deep wounds and teaches wrong ideas about what love and marriage are, and it helps us understand how he came to be entangled as he is now. At the same time Scripture shows us that while we are shaped by what we have seen, we each still stand before God and need a new life that only He can give.

That need is what Jesus spoke of when He told Nicodemus, a religious leader who came to seek truth, that unless a person is born again he cannot see or enter the kingdom of God. Nicodemus wondered how a grown man could be born a second time, and Jesus made clear He was not speaking of going back into a mother's womb. He was speaking of a spiritual birth. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Without that new birth we remain as we were naturally born, living with the body and its appetites leading the mind, and the spirit dormant. When a person is born again, the order is changed. He becomes spiritually alive, living from the Spirit, with the mind and body brought under new direction.

The way that new birth happens is through the Word of God and faith in Jesus Christ. We are born again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, through the living Word. Jesus said we are made clean through the Word He has spoken, and the apostle John writes plainly that whoever believes that Jesus is the Messiah is born of God. This is not merely trying harder or turning over a new leaf. It is believing from the heart that Jesus is the Son of God who died for our sins and rose again, and trusting Him alone for salvation. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. That promise is for this man as much as for anyone.

That is why your prayer that he would be born again is the most important prayer of all. Without that, he cannot truly understand the things of God, nor will he have power to overcome the patterns that now hold him, whether it is pursuing a relationship with a married woman, or using alcohol, tobacco and drugs. God’s design for marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and sexual intimacy belongs only within that covenant. To pursue a woman who is already married, no matter how many times she has been married before, is to walk a path God calls adultery, and it will bring further harm to him and to others. We cannot ask God to bless that relationship, but we can and do ask God to bring conviction, to break that tie, to grant repentance, and to set him on a path of purity and obedience. In the same way, the use of alcohol and drugs to cope or escape is a work of the flesh that the new nature in Christ is meant to overcome.

You also asked for prayer about the courts and the possibility of prison, and that his family does not understand why this is happening. Sin often brings legal consequences that feel confusing to those who love the person, especially when they have watched the slow drift over many years. Yet Scripture shows that God does not abandon people in custody. Joseph was thrown into prison though he had acted with integrity, and was forgotten there for a long time, yet God was with him and worked through that place. Jeremiah was confined in the court of the prison and even there the word of the Lord came to him. Paul and Silas were beaten and placed in the inner prison with their feet in stocks, and Peter was kept under guard, and in each case God remained sovereign and able to deliver or to sustain. Whether God delivers this man from prison or allows him to face that consequence, God can meet him there, speak to him there, and use even that hard place to bring him to himself if he will turn to Christ.

So let us pray together that God’s will, not the enemy’s, will be done in his life. The enemy’s will is to keep him deceived, bound and destroyed. God’s will is to save, to give a living hope, and to make him new.

Father, we lift this man to You. You see his whole story, the home he grew up in, the wrong teaching he received, and the choices he has since made. Have mercy on him. Open his eyes to see that he must be born again, and draw him to believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Wash him through Your Word, forgive his sins, and give him a new heart and a new nature by Your Spirit. Cut the ties of every relationship that is outside Your will for marriage, and give him strength to turn away and to walk in purity. Deliver him from dependence on alcohol and drugs, and set him free from every appetite that has ruled him. Guide him where he was never guided before, teach him Your ways, and lead him step by step. In the matter of the courts, we ask for Your justice tempered with mercy, and above all that whatever happens will be used to bring him to repentance and to true life in Christ. Give his family wisdom, understanding and perseverance to love him truthfully and to speak Your Word to him. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who alone can save and make all things new. Amen.
