We want to thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for this family.
We have been continuing to lift up this man and woman and their children and grandchildren before the Lord. We remember how you shared that the oldest children saw both parents drinking and smoking when they were young, and how the youngest sibling prayed faithfully until the father and mother were both delivered from alcohol, though it took years for deliverance from cigarettes to come. We have also been praying for the two children who later began drinking beer and liquor and smoking and chewing tobacco, and for the grandson who is now experiencing the same alcohol addiction as his mother and has refused anything to do with God. We understand your concern that this may be a learned pattern or a familiar spirit affecting the bloodline, and that only a few in the family want to believe in God.
We continue to pray in Jesus Name for the breaking of every generational chain and for complete deliverance from addiction. We pray that what the enemy has meant to pass down through the bloodline will be broken by the blood of Jesus, for we know that if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation as it is written in 2 Cor 5:17 and that whom the Son sets free is free indeed as it is written in John 8:36. We pray in Jesus Name for the salvation of the two children who are bound by alcohol and tobacco and for this grandson, that God would draw them by His Spirit, soften their hearts, and open their eyes to their need for Jesus, and that the family members who do not understand would be given wisdom and perseverance to continue interceding in love.
