Prayer request for a dog that has a tumor

We have received your request concerning your dog who is suffering with a tumor, and we share in your sorrow over this affliction. It is right to bring even this grief before the Lord, for He is merciful and He cares for all that He has made, and He sees the love you have for this creature entrusted to your care.
We will pray for you and for your dog. We ask the Lord to show mercy, to ease any pain and fear, to give wisdom to those who are providing care, and to grant you peace and strength in this time of waiting and worry. If it is His will, we ask Him to bring healing and more time together. And even in this trial, we ask Him to be your comfort and your steady hope.
In times of grief it helps to dive deep into the Scriptures as into a chest of medicines for the soul. There we are reminded that our true hope is not only in this present life, but in the promise of life which is in Jesus Christ, where grief and mourning will flee away. Hold fast to Him now. Cast your cares upon Him in prayer, and let His word sustain you day by day.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come before You through Jesus Christ Your Son, our only Savior. You know the sorrow of this heart over this beloved dog. Look with compassion upon this animal in its suffering. Grant relief according to Your wisdom and mercy, guide the hands of those who treat it, and pour out Your comfort upon its owner. Help us to trust Your goodness in all things and to find our deepest consolation in You. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
