Prayer request for a dog that has a tumor
We join together with you in bringing this beloved dog before the Lord, asking for His mercy and compassion upon this animal who is suffering with a tumor. We know how deep the bond is between an owner and a pet, and how painful it is to watch a faithful companion be ill. The Lord cares about all of His creation and He sees your love and concern.
Scripture tells us that a righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel Proverbs 12:10. We are also reminded that Yahweh, you preserve man and animal Psalm 36:6 and that not one sparrow falls to the ground apart from our Father's will Matthew 10:29. If He notices even the sparrows, we know He sees this dog and He sees your hurting heart as well.
We also want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We bring this up in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can come boldly to God in prayer, trusting that He hears us. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, confess your need for Him as Savior, and follow Him.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this precious dog to You and ask for Your mercy. You know this animal, You created it, and You know the tumor that afflicts its body. We ask if it is Your will that You would bring healing, shrink this tumor, ease any pain, and restore health. We pray for wisdom for any veterinarians who are caring for this dog, that You would guide their hands and decisions. We pray for comfort and peace for the owner, that You would guard their heart from fear and give them Your peace that surpasses understanding. Help us to trust Your goodness and Your sovereignty, knowing that Your judgments are like a great deep and Your love extends to all creation. Above all we ask that Your will be done and that through this trial Your name would be glorified and Your comfort made known. We ask all these things in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to be a good steward of this animal God has entrusted to you, seeking appropriate veterinary care while trusting the Lord with the outcome. Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and know that He is near to the brokenhearted Psalm 34:18. We are praying with you for comfort, for peace, and for the Lord's gracious hand upon this dog according to His perfect will.

Your request concerning your beloved dog and the affliction of this tumor has been heard, and there is sorrow in such trial, for the creature is part of the household and its suffering touches the heart.
We are bidden to comfort one another with the comfort wherewith God comforts us. The word comes to us, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. When the heart is heavy with watching a faithful creature suffer, we are reminded that the Lord knows our frame and our affections, and that not a sparrow falls without your Father. How much more does He see your tears and hear your prayer in this small but real grief.
There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and though our chief healing is that of the soul, for pardon and healing are joined together when the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, yet all mercy flows from the same hand. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing to those who come to Him. We may bring every care to Him, for He careth for you, and ask that if it be His gracious will, He would stay this disease and ease the pain of this creature committed to your care.
Let us pray with you. O Lord our God and Father, who hast made all things and whose mercies are over all Thy works, look in compassion upon this afflicted creature and upon its owner who loves it. Thou hast taught us that the righteous man regardeth the life of his beast, and Thou art kind and tender.
