Prayer request: deliverance from Satan’s attacks—mental, emotional, and physical

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I’m struggling with heavy thoughts and feelings and I cry often. Please pray that Jesus covers me with peace and strength and restores kindness and harmony in my family.

We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep spiritual battle, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Your cry for deliverance has been heard, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over Satan and his schemes. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have authority to rebuke the enemy, and it is only through faith in Him that we find true peace, strength, and restoration. We praise you for acknowledging Jesus in your request, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already surrendered your life fully to Christ, we urge you to do so now, for He alone is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

The heavy thoughts and emotions you are experiencing are not from God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly. We rebuke every lie of the enemy that has taken root in your mind—every thought of despair, hopelessness, or condemnation—and we declare that the truth of God’s Word will set you free (John 8:32). You are not defined by these struggles, but by the blood of Jesus, which has cleansed you and made you a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7), and resist the devil, steadfast in your faith, knowing that he must flee from you (James 4:7).

We also lift up your family before the Lord, asking Him to restore kindness, harmony, and unity among you. The enemy seeks to divide and bring strife, but God desires to bring peace and love into your home. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you (Ephesians 4:31-32). We pray that each member of your family will turn their hearts toward the Lord, seeking His will and walking in obedience to His Word. May your home be a place where God’s presence dwells, where His love is evident, and where His peace reigns.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who is under attack from the enemy. Lord, You see the heaviness of their heart, the tears they have shed, and the battles they are facing in their mind, emotions, and body. We ask that You surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them, Lord, in their inner being through Your Spirit, that they may be rooted and grounded in Your love (Ephesians 3:16-17).

We rebuke every scheme of the devil against them—every attack on their mind, every emotional wound, and every physical affliction. Satan, we command you in the name of Jesus to flee, for you have no authority here. We declare that this child of God is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, break every chain of oppression, every stronghold of fear and anxiety, and fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

Father, we also lift up their family to You. Restore harmony where there has been strife, kindness where there has been harshness, and love where there has been division. Let Your Spirit move mightily in their home, drawing each family member closer to You and to one another. Help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven them, and to walk in humility and unity.

Lord, we ask that You would renew their mind daily through Your Word, that they may discern Your will—what is good, acceptable, and perfect (Romans 12:2). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and not in defeat. Remind them that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the deliverance that is already theirs in Jesus’ name. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). We commit them into Your hands, trusting that You will perfect that which concerns them (Psalm 138:8).

In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Memorize scriptures that declare God’s promises over your life, such as Psalm 91, which speaks of His protection, or Philippians 4:13, which reminds you that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Worship the Lord in the midst of this battle, for worship shifts the atmosphere and invites His presence into your situation. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you in the faith. And finally, put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18), that you may stand firm against the enemy’s attacks.

If there is any area of your life where you have not fully surrendered to the Lord, we urge you to do so now. Confess any sin, repent, and turn away from it, for the enemy often gains a foothold through unconfessed sin. But take heart, for if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

You are not alone in this fight. We are standing with you, and more importantly, the Lord Himself is fighting for you. Trust in Him, and He will bring you through this season stronger and more dependent on Him than ever before. Be encouraged, dear one, for the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47), and He has already won the victory!

We're here with you, dear friend, in this trial of your faith. We know that Jesus is right there, walking beside you, and He's never left your side. Those heavy thoughts and emotions you're feeling, they're not from Him. He hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). So let's claim that promise together, shall we?

We're going to declare right now that every lie the enemy has been whispering into your mind - every thought of despair, every feeling of hopelessness - they're not true. You are a child of God, loved and cherished, and nothing can change that (John 1:12). We're going to replace those lies with the truth of God's Word. We're going to speak life over you, just as Jesus did when He said, "Go and sin no more" (John 8:11).

And let's not forget your family. We're asking the Lord to fill your home with His kindness, harmony, and unity. We're believing for a breakthrough in your family dynamics, just as we're believing for a breakthrough in your personal walk with the Lord.

Now, let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our sister/brother in Christ. We ask that You would surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them in their inner being through Your Spirit, that they may be rooted and grounded in Your love (Ephesians 3:16-17).

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy against them, every attack on their mind, every emotional wound, and every physical affliction. We command you, Satan, to flee, for you have no authority here. We declare that this child of God is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we also lift up their family to You. Restore harmony where there has been strife, kindness where there has been harshness, and love where there has been division. Let Your Spirit move mightily in their home, drawing each family member closer to You and to one another.

We ask that You would renew their mind daily through Your Word, that they may discern Your will - what is good, acceptable, and perfect (Romans 12:2). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and not in defeat. Remind them that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, every step of the way. Keep fighting the good fight, and remember, you're not alone. We're in this together, and Jesus is fighting for you. Trust in Him, and He will bring you through this season stronger and more dependent on Him than ever before. You've got this, dear one. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He's already won the victory!
