Prayer request and praise report

Please pray for my daughter to find work. She's getting discouraged. Please thank the Lord with me for answering my other prayer request about my neck biopsy. No malignant cells were found. I have not met with my doctor to go over the results but I did see the pathology report in my chart. I'm still praying that whatever it is can be left alone (the doctor said sometimes they still like to surgically remove benign growths too). Please pray that no surgery will be needed, and that it can be left as it is. And praise the Lord for a favorable biopsy result. Thank the Lord! Thank you and God bless you.

We rejoice with you in the Lord’s goodness and mercy, giving thanks for the favorable biopsy results and the clear evidence of His healing hand in your life. What a powerful reminder that He is our Great Physician, who numbers even the hairs on our heads and knows our every need before we ask. The psalmist declares, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:2-3). We join you in praising God for this answered prayer and for His faithfulness, which endures forever.

For your daughter’s job search, we lift her up in prayer, asking the Lord to open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. The enemy may seek to discourage her, but we declare that her hope is in the Lord, who gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak (Isaiah 40:29-31). We pray that she would trust in His timing, knowing that He has plans for her welfare and not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). May she seek Him first in all things, and may He guide her steps to the work He has prepared for her. We rebuke the spirit of discouragement in Jesus’ name and command it to flee, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Regarding your health, we continue to pray that the Lord would grant wisdom to your doctors and that His will would be done in whether or not surgery is needed. We ask that He would guide their decisions according to His perfect plan, and that you would have peace that surpasses all understanding as you trust in Him (Philippians 4:6-7). If it is His will for the growth to remain untouched, we pray for complete healing and protection over that area. If surgery is necessary, we ask for a smooth procedure, a swift recovery, and that God would be glorified through it all. We stand on the promise that "by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5) and that He works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your mercy and provision. We thank You for the answered prayer regarding the biopsy and for Your healing power at work in this situation. Lord, we ask that You would continue to guide the medical decisions ahead, and we trust in Your perfect will. For this sister’s daughter, we ask that You would open doors of employment and remove every spirit of discouragement. Strengthen her faith and remind her that You are her Provider. May she seek You above all else, and may Your peace guard her heart and mind. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and we rebuke every lie of the enemy in Jesus’ name. Father, we also pray for wisdom and clarity for this family as they navigate these circumstances. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may they continue to trust in You alone. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to the truth that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He has not forgotten you or your daughter, and His plans for you are good. Continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word, and may He fill you with His peace as you wait on Him.

What a relief to see that pathology report and know no malignant cells were found. We’re joining you in thanking the Lord, it’s such a weight lifted, even as you wait to hear what the doctor recommends. We’ll stand with you in asking that no surgery is needed and that whatever is there can simply be left alone, giving you a lasting peace.

As a mother, your heart for your daughter shines through, and we know that watching her get discouraged in her job search is its own heavy burden. When applications seem to go nowhere and the silence stretches on, it’s easy for hope to dim. Sometimes just having someone walk alongside, maybe a family friend who can help her talk through her strengths, look over her résumé, or even just remind her she’s not invisible in this process, can ease that discouragement a bit. And we’ll keep praying with you that the right door opens for her soon.

Lord Jesus, thank You for this mother’s grateful heart and for the good news that came back from the biopsy. We ask that You would guide her doctor’s thinking, and if it be Your will, spare her from surgery and let this be something that requires no further intervention. For her daughter, we lift up the weariness she’s carrying. Open the way to meaningful work, and steady her spirit when the waiting feels long. Surround them both with Your comfort and hope, and let them sense Your presence in these days. In Your name, Jesus, amen.

Stir up your faith concerning your daughter. The discouragement she feels is no strange thing, for the Lord’s answers often tarry that faith may be tested and strengthened. There is no fact in mathematics which has been more fully demonstrated than this fact in experience that God hears prayer. They are heard when answered soon or late, yes, heard when they no answer get. Bid her continue knocking, for the gate of iron will open of its own accord when the Lord’s time is come. His complaint that there is no power to believe, no spiritual strength, is met by this: He has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you. That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake, I’ll never, no never, no never forsake! No conceivable difficulties can stand against that word. Let her cling to it, and you with her, for a mother’s prayers are sweet incense before the throne.

We join you in praising the Lord for that favorable report. ###, here is mercy indeed. But mark this well: do not let the relief of this news become a hope that is no hope. You say you pray still that no surgery will be needed, that it may be left as it is. That is a right petition, but see to it that your trust rests not in the pathologist’s report, nor in the doctor’s knife. Sickness and sorrow of themselves are no helps to salvation; but if the Lord ordains a trial, it comes with a purpose. Sarah, whose daughters you are if you are not afraid with any amazement, sat calm in her tent when all visible protection was gone. So must you be, whether the answer is removal or the calling to walk a harder road. There is no illusion in the mighty operations of the Lord. He who opens the iron gate needs no stone rolled away by human hands. Cast this care on Him who knows when the sun shines on every field.

Look to Christ for all supply. Growth in grace is intimately connected with growth in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. There is no food so strengthening to the spirit as the flesh of your Lord. Feast at His table, and remember there is no shortness of supply, no illiberality of gift, come as you are! Whether your daughter finds work tomorrow or next month, whether the surgeon’s hand is stayed or used as an instrument of healing, the one certain word is this: no other blessings can ever be compared with the holy excitement and enthusiasm of a soul that is in the Presence of God and knows that it is there.
