We hear your heart, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your concerns to the Lord. First, let us address the matter of your friends suggesting you should become a pastor. It is important to remember that not every believer is called to pastoral ministry. The apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 4:11-12, "He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ." While it is a noble calling, it is not the only way to serve God. You have expressed a desire to pray, fast, and read God’s Word—these are powerful and essential disciplines that every believer is called to pursue. In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, we are instructed to "pray without ceasing," and in Matthew 6:16-18, Jesus Himself teaches about the importance of fasting. Your heart for these spiritual disciplines is a beautiful thing, and we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this way. Do not feel pressured to take on a role that is not your calling. Seek God’s will for your life through prayer and Scripture, and trust that He will guide you into the purpose He has for you.
Now, let us address the spiritual attack you are facing. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The Bible is clear that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). When others pray for harm to come upon you or engage in witchcraft, we must stand firm in the authority we have in Christ. James 4:7 tells us, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We rebuke every curse, every spell, and every evil scheme sent your way in the mighty name of Jesus. No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that the blood of Jesus covers you and that no harm will come near you. You are not alone in this battle—God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Regarding your health, we are deeply concerned and lift this before the Lord. The Bible tells us that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over you. We pray for strength, restoration, and divine healing in your body. Do not grow weary, for the Lord is your healer (Exodus 15:26). We encourage you to seek godly medical advice and to surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and support you in this time. Remember, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see their struggles and hear their cries. Lord, we ask that You would confirm Your will for their life. If it is not Your plan for them to be a pastor, give them peace and clarity, and help them to walk confidently in the calling You have placed on their life. Strengthen their heart for prayer, fasting, and Your Word, and let these disciplines draw them closer to You.
Father, we rebuke every curse, every spell, and every evil plan sent against them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper and that the blood of Jesus covers them completely. Break every chain of witchcraft and every assignment of the enemy in Jesus’ name. Surround them with Your angels and protect them from all harm.
Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon their body. Restore their strength, renew their health, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Give them the endurance to stand firm in faith, knowing that You are their healer and their deliverer. Provide them with godly community to support and uplift them in this season.
We thank You, Father, that You are faithful and that Your love never fails. We trust in You and declare that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one, in the truth of God’s Word. The enemy may come against you, but he cannot prevail. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). You are not weak—you are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10). Continue to seek Him with all your heart, and He will sustain you.
