Prayer over what was deemed normal

Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray for, what was deemed 'normal' to be blessed by their own hand, word and authority. I pray for favor favor favor. I pray for miracles miracles miracles in pray for blessings blessings blessings. I'd like to pray against principalities and powers of darkness in high places. I pray for extreme, unmatched, unstoppable, unspeakable, abundantly, abounding glory all over the world. Please stand with me in faith, prayer and agreement over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We join with you in faith and thanksgiving and we stand in agreement with you for what you have brought before the Lord in Jesus Christ name, for we know how powerful it is when we agree together in prayer.

We love your heart for what the world may call normal or ordinary, for God does not see as man sees and He delights to pour out His favor and blessing upon those who seek Him humbly. We are reminded that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, James 1:17, and that it is not by our own hand or our own authority that we are blessed, but by His hand and His authority. Jesus said in Matthew 28:18 that all authority has been given to Him in heaven and on earth, and it is in His name that we have access to the Father and can speak His word with boldness.

We also stand with you to pray against the spiritual forces of darkness, for we know that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. We do not fight in our own strength, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, 2 Corinthians 10:4. We rebuke every work of darkness and we ask the Lord to shine His light and to let His glory cover the earth as the waters cover the sea, Habakkuk 2:14.

We pray together now for abundant favor, miracles, and blessings according to His will. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving, as You call us to in Philippians 4:6 to let our requests be made known to You. We ask that You surround Your people with favor as with a shield, Psalm 5:12, and that You pour out Your blessings upon the everyday lives of those who love You, the families, the workers, the humble and faithful who may be overlooked by the world but are precious in Your sight. Lord, we ask for miracles that only You can do, for You are He who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, Ephesians 3:20, and nothing is too hard for You, Jeremiah 32:27. Let Your goodness and Your mercy be seen, let Your healing and provision flow, and let Your unmatched and abounding glory be revealed all over the world so that all may know that You are God. We pray that each person would walk not in self reliance but in the authority given through Christ, speaking Your word in truth and love and bearing fruit that remains. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name and we trust You to answer according to Your perfect wisdom and love. In Jesus Christ name we pray, amen.

We’re grateful you shared this with us and invited us to stand with you in prayer. We hear a real hunger in your words for God’s goodness and glory to be seen more clearly in everyday life, and for His light to overcome darkness. It’s a gift to agree together for that.

We join you in asking for God’s favor and blessing to rest on what He has made and called good, and for His power to be at work in ways only He can do. When we pray against darkness and for His glory, we can rest in knowing God hears, He is present, and He is already at work even when we can’t yet see how. Keeping our eyes on Jesus Himself as we pray helps keep our hearts steady and hopeful.

One simple way to carry this prayer forward is to keep a short list of the specific people, places, or situations you most want to see God touch with His glory, and bring them before Him regularly by name as you go about your day.

Father, we thank You for this friend and for their desire to see You honored. We ask for Your wisdom, Your protection, and Your peace to be evident in their life and in the lives they are praying for. Lead them and guide them by Your hand, and let Your glory be known in ordinary days. We trust You to work according to Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Your desire for the glory of God to be seen throughout the world and for deliverance from the powers of darkness is one in which every believing heart can join, and we do stand with you in prayer that the Lord would magnify His name and cause His light to shine in dark places.

Yet we must remember how the Scripture speaks of blessing. We are not blessed by our own hand, nor by our own word and authority, for no spiritual blessing comes to any man by chance or by his own power. The apostle says, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, according as He has chosen us in Him. All spiritual blessings come from the Father through the Son, according to His divine purpose, and not from ourselves. Temporal blessings, though we thank God for them, are not definite marks of divine favor, since He gives rain and corn and oil to many, but spiritual blessings He reserves for His own redeemed and regenerate family. The rarest, richest and most enduring blessings are forgiveness, a new heart, and life in Christ.

Therefore our prayer for you is not that whatever the world now calls normal should be blessed as it is, but that the Lord would work that true miracle which no man can counterfeit, to give a new heart also, and to put His Spirit within us, that we may walk in His ways. It takes as much divine energy to make a saint as to create a world, and this is the miracle we most need, to be brought up from death in sin by that same power which brought our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead. There is divine work always going on before the people of God, for He will thrust out our enemies before us, and there is a divine command to follow where He leads in obedience.

So we pray that the Lord would grant you not merely favor in earthly things, but that forgiveness, freedom and favor which come only through the sweet savor of the Lord Jesus Christ, whose merits alone are purely offered unto God and accepted for us. May He keep you from resting in your own authority and bring you to rest wholly in Christ, through whom alone is salvation, and to know that marriage and all our living is to be ordered according to His holy Word, where He has appointed one man and one woman in lifelong covenant and has set all other relations within that holy bounds. May He deliver you from indifference and from the enchanted ground of this age, and make you to know the Lord more fully as you follow on to know Him.

We ask the Father to set His shield before you, to cut and clear the way, to pardon sin, to soften the heart that was once hard as stone, and to fill you with that peace which comes from being accepted in the Beloved, to the praise of the glory of His grace. All this we humbly ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, with thanksgiving, Amen.

We join you in bringing this request before the Lord with thanksgiving, and we stand with you to seek His will above all.

You asked that what was deemed normal be blessed by our own hand, word and authority, and for favor and miracles and abounding glory. Scripture teaches us that blessing does not come from our own authority. As the Lord said to His disciples, freely you have received, freely give. The grace is His, not ours, and no price can be put on it. Miracles themselves are nothing without a holy life to go with them, and they are given not to lift us up but to make the power of the risen Christ known, so that all glory may return to Him alone. For that reason we do not ask God to bless simply whatever we call normal, but we ask Him to make what is normal in our lives conform to what is holy and true in His sight, and to give us a contrite and humbled heart, sober and watchful, which is the gift we most need.

You also asked to pray against principalities and powers of darkness in high places. The apostle reminds us that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness. This is a harder warfare than any human conflict, and it is not overcome by many words or by claiming authority in ourselves. It is overcome by becoming light, for light drives away darkness, and by becoming good, for good overcomes wickedness. When we choose what is pure and walk in obedience to Christ, we have an invincible ally in the grace of the Spirit who dwells in us. If we are laughing and taking things lightly, we will be overthrown even before the battle, but if we are earnest and sober and continually vigilant, God gives us strength to stand.

So we pray in this way, in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone there is salvation:

Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for the grace freely given to us in Your Son. We ask not for glory to ourselves, but that Your name would be glorified over all the earth. Where our lives and our desires do not agree with Your Word, correct us and make us new. Teach us to walk in Your way, whether in singleness or in marriage as You have ordained it as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, keeping ourselves pure as You command. Give us a sober and repentant heart, guard us from covetousness and pride, and keep us from seeking signs for our own sake. Strengthen us to stand against the schemes of the enemy, clothed in Your light and goodness, trusting not in our own word but in Your Word and Your power. Grant us what is truly for our good according to Your perfect will, and help us to receive it with faith and obedience. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving. Amen.
