We join with you in faith and bring your request before the throne of grace, giving thanks that you have come in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. We appreciate your desire to be a wise steward of what God has entrusted to you and your heart to see His glory abound in the world.
We want to encourage you with what Scripture teaches about wealth, favor, and spiritual warfare, so that your prayers may align fully with God's will. All material and spiritual wealth ultimately belongs to the Lord, and we are stewards of it. Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us, But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth. And 1 Corinthians 4:2 teaches, Here, moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful. This means our first prayer should be for wisdom to manage what we have faithfully, not simply for increase. James 1:5 says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
We also gently correct an attitude that can easily creep in when we pray repeatedly for favor, miracles, and blessings as if God must grant abundance on demand. Jesus warns in Matthew 6:7, In praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. God is not moved by the repetition of words like favor favor favor, but by a humble heart that seeks His kingdom first. Matthew 6:33 says, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. And we are warned to guard our hearts against covetousness, for 1 Timothy 6:10 says, For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, which some have been led astray from the faith in their greediness. True blessing is not measured only by assets or value increasing, but by contentment, generosity, and using what we have to honor God. Proverbs 3:9 says, Honor Yahweh with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase, and 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Luke 12:15 also reminds us, Beware Beware of covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.
Your desire to pray against principalities and powers of darkness in high places is biblical, for Ephesians 6:12 says, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. We do have authority in Christ to stand firm, but our warfare is won not by claiming unstoppable glory for ourselves, but by putting on the whole armor of God, walking in righteousness, truth, and humility, and seeking that God's glory, not our own, would fill the earth.
So we pray together with you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving. We thank You that every good and perfect gift comes from Your hand. We ask You to grant our brother wisdom and discernment to steward all material and spiritual wealth under his control faithfully and wisely. Help him to seek Your counsel before every spending decision, to be diligent and not hasty, for Proverbs 21:5 says The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit. Make him faithful in very little so he may be faithful also in much, as Luke 16:10 teaches. Guard his heart from the love of money and from pride, and give him contentment in whatever state he is in. Teach him to honor You with his substance, to be generous to those in need, and to store up treasure in heaven where neither moth nor rust consume, as Matthew 6:20 instructs. We stand against the schemes of the enemy, principalities and powers that would tempt him toward greed, anxiety, wastefulness, or idolatry of wealth, and we ask that You clothe him with Your armor that he may stand firm in Christ. Let Your will be done in his finances, and let any increase You provide be used for Your kingdom, for the spread of the gospel, and for Your glory to be made known all over the world. Not our glory, Lord, but Yours. We ask that You provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and that he would walk in true prosperity which is knowing You and being found in Your righteousness. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring your finances before the Lord daily, asking not only for more, but for holiness in how you use what you have. Seek godly counsel, live within your means, give generously, save diligently, and avoid debt where possible. As you seek first His Kingdom, trust that He will supply all your needs and will use you as a vessel of His glory to others.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
