Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in prayer today and thank you for reaching out so we can stand with you in faith and agreement before the Lord.
We bring before God every situation where restraint and sedation are involved. We ask Him to have mercy on those who are suffering and on those who must make difficult decisions for care and safety. We pray for wisdom for doctors, nurses and caregivers, for peace for those who are distressed, and for healing according to His will. Where restraint is needed for protection, we ask God to provide restraint from harm and to guard every person with His care. We also pray that He would work in our own hearts to show self restraint in all things and to walk in love and gentleness toward others, as Scripture teaches us to restrain anger, to turn from evil, and to pursue what is good.
We agree with you in praying against the powers of darkness, remembering the word of Scripture that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil, and that Christ has already triumphed over them through His cross and resurrection. We do not ask from God out of empty repetition, but with trust in His goodness and power. We ask for His favor, His mercy, and His blessings as He sees fit to give them, and we pray that in all things His glory would be made known. We ask this not for our own desires alone, but that His name would be honored and that His will would be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we thank You that we can come to You with confidence. We thank You for Your grace that has delivered us from sin and brought us into adoption as Your children through Christ. We ask You to grant peace, protection, and restoration where there is turmoil, to drive away fear, and to fill hearts with hope. Give strength to endure in prayer and to wait patiently upon You, knowing that hope in You does not put us to shame. Let all that is done bring glory to You alone. We humbly ask these things with thanksgiving in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
