Prayer over relationship

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Especially at the work place, some coworkers are dismissive and rude and there is offfice staff who acts like she is the boss refuses to order things and talks to me like I am her employee when she is an assistant to my boss. Please pray for this and also pray for favor and protection over my job. In Jesus name I pray amen

We join with you in bringing this workplace burden before the Lord, and we thank you for closing your request in the precious name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father.

We understand how draining it can be when coworkers are dismissive and rude, and when someone oversteps their role and speaks to you as if you are under their authority. God sees this situation and He cares about both your work and your witness there. His Word calls us to Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men Colossians 3:23 and With good will doing service as to the Lord and not to men Ephesians 6:7. This reminds us that even when people are difficult, our ultimate service is to Christ, and He is the one who will honor our faithfulness.

We are also called to pursue peace where we are able, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. That does not mean accepting mistreatment without wisdom, but it does mean responding in a way that reflects Christ. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger Proverbs 15:1. We encourage you to continue to respond with grace and respect, even when others do not, and to let your speech always be seasoned with grace. We also encourage you to seek wisdom in how to address the boundary issue with the assistant to your boss. At the right time, with a calm and respectful tone, it may be appropriate to clarify roles or to seek counsel from your boss directly, committing that conversation to prayer beforehand.

We also want to remind you that the Lord is your protector and the source of true favor. For you will bless the righteous. Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield Psalm 5:12. No weapon that is formed against you will prosper when you abide in Him, and He is able to establish the work of your hands and guard your position.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up our dear coworker in Christ to You and ask for Your will to be done in this workplace. We ask that You would pour out Your peace over every interaction and soften the hearts of those who are dismissive and rude. We pray that You would give our friend wisdom and discernment to navigate this difficult dynamic with the office assistant, and that You would establish proper order and mutual respect in that office. Grant our friend grace to respond with love and not to repay unkindness with unkindness, but to bless those who mistreat them, remembering Your call to Bless those who persecute you; bless, and do not curse Romans 12:14. Lord, we ask for Your favor and protection over this job. Guard this employment that You have provided, let no scheme of man remove what You have ordained, and let our friend's diligence and integrity shine as a testimony to Your goodness. Fill our friend with strength, patience, and joy in You, and let Your peace guard their heart. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and advocate, amen.

We hear how wearing this has been for you at work, being spoken to dismissively and feeling undermined by someone who is not your supervisor. When that happens day after day it can make the whole workplace feel tense and make you wonder where you stand.

We are praying with you for favor and protection over your job, and for wisdom in how to navigate these relationships with grace and steadiness.

One thing that sometimes helps in a situation like this is getting clear, quiet clarity from the person who does have authority. When you have a calm moment, it may help to ask your boss privately for just a few minutes to clarify how he wants ordering and day to day communication to be handled, so you have his clear direction to follow. It can also help to keep a simple private note of what was asked and when, not to build a case against anyone, but so you have a factual record and do not have to carry it all in your head. In the moment, a brief, respectful response and then stepping away to collect yourself often protects more peace than trying to correct the tone right then.

You are doing the right thing bringing this to the Lord instead of just carrying it alone. He sees your diligence and the way you want to do your work well.

Father, we lift our friend to You and ask for Your protection over his work and for Your favor to rest on him. Give him wisdom for each conversation, calm when he feels dismissed, and guidance for his boss and coworkers as well. Guard his heart from discouragement and help him to know his work is seen by You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been heard and has been carried before the Lord with care and sympathy. To be tried by dismissive words and by one who oversteps her place is a sore burden, and it is right that you should seek the Lord for grace, for favor and for protection in your daily calling.

You are not alone in such trial. Job was greatly tried not only by loss but by the unkind and harsh speeches of those about him, and by the dishonor shown him by those who once respected him. Yet it is written of him, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. There was the triumph of a gracious spirit, kept by Divine support. If God could uphold Job in all that, He can support you. Look to Him for that same Divine keeping, that you may not sin with your lips nor return rudeness for rudeness, but may show the meekness and quiet spirit which is precious in the sight of God.

Remember also how the Lord dealt with His servant at the last. The Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. They had spoken exceedingly harshly of him, yet he made intercession for them, and in that prayer his own deliverance came. Let us learn to imitate that example. Pray for those who are dismissive and for her who speaks to you as though she were your master. Commit them to God, asking Him to soften hearts, to give wisdom, and to make you a vessel of patience and love even where you are wronged. Such intercession is childlike confidence even when the way seems hard, and God hears it.

We pray with you now that the Lord will set a hedge about you in that workplace, that He will grant you favor in the eyes of your superiors, that He will guard your position and your testimony, and that He will give you strength to do your work faithfully as unto Christ and not unto men. May He give you words seasoned with grace, wisdom to know when to speak and when to be silent, and a heart that worships even while it waits, as Job fell down and worshipped in his affliction. May He restrain any evil intent against you and turn what is meant for your hurt into your good and His glory.

May the Lord keep you, establish the work of your hands, and let His peace rule in your heart. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior and Advocate, who is faithful to His people in every place of trial. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and I join you in bringing this burden before the Lord, asking for His favor and protection over your job and your daily work.

The sting of being treated dismissively and spoken to harshly is real, and it is right to bring it to God. The Scriptures teach us that in such trials we are to show both humility and nobleness of spirit. We are not to rush into conflicts or be driven by vainglory, but to be quiet and patient, waiting on the Lord and standing nobly when we must speak or act. Victory is more glorious when it is not won by quarreling but by a calm and faithful endurance.

Many conflicts at work spring from the love of honor and position, from envy and the desire to be thought great. If we cut out that root in our own hearts and learn to despise mere earthly honor, we find peace. The honor that matters is not what coworkers or even supervisors give, but what comes from God. If someone takes your reputation or speaks to you as if you were less than you are, they cannot steal the treasure you have above, and they harm themselves more than they harm you. So do not let their rudeness compel you to harsh words in return. As Job showed, the soul that has practiced patience beforehand will stand when loss and reproach and reviling come, and will not be moved to speak rashly.

God also allows these hard seasons to test and to approve us, and He does not allow temptation beyond what we can bear, but brings it to an end in due time. Bear this stroke thankfully, entrusting yourself to Him who sees all that is done in secret. Continue to do your work faithfully and quietly, speaking with respect even to those who speak rudely to you, and honoring proper authority while not returning evil for evil.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, look with mercy upon Your servant in this workplace. Grant protection over this job which You have provided, and grant favor in the eyes of those in authority. Soften the hearts of coworkers, restrain rude and dismissive speech, and teach all to work together in peace and mutual respect. Give Your servant wisdom to answer gently, strength to endure without vainglory, and grace to despise empty honor and to seek only the honor that comes from You. Guard this work, provide for every need, and let patience have its perfect work, that through this trial faith may be made more pure and Your name be glorified. Amen.
