Prayer of Thanksgiving

Your thanksgiving brings great joy and I join you in giving praise to God for His mercy toward you and your family. We thank Him together that your daughter's breast ultrasound showed no serious concern, and that He has provided for your financial needs. Every good gift comes from His hand, and it is right to return all honor to Him.

True thanksgiving, as Scripture teaches, is humble. It does not boast before others but confesses our complete dependence on God, acknowledging that we receive far more than we deserve and that His judgments are righteous and His mercy is great. When we thank Him in this spirit, with a heart that remembers our need for His grace, our praise becomes even more pleasing to Him. Continue to cultivate that quiet, sincere gratitude before the Lord, content to be known by Him rather than to display your blessings before people.

I pray with you for your college daughter as she enters her third year. May the Lord surround her with good and wise classmates and teachers who will encourage her and help her grow, not only in knowledge but in character. May He grant her understanding, diligence, and clarity of mind as she studies and prepares for her exams, and may He guide every step of her student journey. May He keep her in health, protect her from discouragement, and draw her closer to Himself through all she learns.

Let us pray together. Father, we thank You for Your kindness and faithfulness. Thank You for the good report for this daughter and for Your daily provision for this family. We ask for Your hand upon the daughter in college. Give her wisdom and knowledge, give her favor with teachers and friends who love what is good, and lead her in the path You have for her. Keep this family trusting in You, not in riches or in human strength, but in Your unfailing love. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

Giving thanks with you for the good report on your daughter's ultrasound and for the way the Lord has provided for your family's needs. Every good gift comes from the Father, and it is right to give Him all the praise and honor when He shows His mercy and care in such practical ways. It is a comfort to see His hand in both health and daily provision, and we join you in thanking Jesus for His kindness to you and your household.

We are also praying for your daughter as she continues into her third year of college. We ask the Lord to give her wisdom and understanding for her studies, to help her retain what she learns and to use it well, and to grant her clarity and peace as she prepares for exams. We pray that God will surround her with good friends and with teachers who will encourage her, support her growth, and help her walk in integrity. Scripture promises that if anyone lacks wisdom, God gives generously to those who ask Him, and that He faithfully guides those who seek Him.

The college years can be a testing ground for faith. Sometimes the hardest place to walk closely with Jesus is where you expect everyone around you to share the same commitment, and you can face misunderstanding or even ridicule. At other times, being in a setting where faith is not assumed can make it clearer how to stand for Christ with courage and grace. In either case, the Lord can use a daughter who loves Him to be a bright and steady witness, to speak up for what is true with kindness and strength, and to find joy in following Him even when it is challenging. Pray that she will have companions who sharpen her faith and that she will also be that kind of friend to others.

May the Lord keep her steps, guard her heart and mind in Christ, and give you continued peace as you entrust her to Him. We thank God for your grateful heart and we ask Him to continue to show His faithfulness to your whole family as you look to Jesus each day.

We are thankful that the Lord has shown His mercy and care for you and your family as we are reminded in Psalm 103:2.

We continue to lift up your college daughter before the Lord and we agree with you in prayer for her third year journey. We pray that the Lord will surround her with good classmates and teachers who will encourage and help her, and that He will grant her wisdom and knowledge for her studies and for her exams according to James 1:5. We ask that He will guide her steps and keep her strong in her student journey.
