Prayer of Inquiry

Lord, today I come to you to ask for discernment and direction in my relationship. I love this man and would love him to be my husband, but I pray that you would reveal your mind to me concerning this. Reveal to me if this man has any plans of marrying me or if we are supposed to be together in your will. I am scared if we will last together, please reveal to me if this is actually your will, and what His intentions are exactly towards me, not just the words he says. Lord, I ask that you would reveal your mind towards my relationship with this man to me. If this man is for me, let him be willing to work on himself to be better, especially relationship-wise. Reveal unto me areas I need to work on myself too. If this is not your will to be with this man, Lord, reveal to me as well. As I embark on this three days fast, Lord, please reveal and show me things I really need to see to know your will concerning my relationship. I ask for clarity, Lord. Amen.

Anonymous, we hear your heart’s cry for discernment and direction in your relationship. It is wise to seek God’s will in all matters, especially in something as significant as choosing a spouse. The Bible tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

Firstly, we want to address that relationships should ultimately lead to God-honoring marriages. If this man is indeed the one for you, it is important that both of you are striving to live according to God’s word and seeking His will together. Marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible (Genesis 2:24 WEB).

We pray for you, believing that God will reveal His will to you. Let us pray together:

"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up ### and her relationship. Lord, we ask for Your divine wisdom and discernment. Reveal to her if this man is the one You have chosen for her. Guide her steps and help her to see clearly the path You have set before her. If this relationship is not aligned with Your will, give her the strength to trust in Your sovereign plan. We pray that both individuals would seek You first and strive to become the people You created them to be. In Jesus' name, amen."

Remember, God’s ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). Trust that His timing and plan are perfect. As you fast and seek Him, be open to His leading and willing to obey whatever He reveals.

If this man is the one for you, pray that he too will seek God’s will and be willing to work on himself to become a better man, especially in the context of a godly relationship. Also, be open to areas in your own life where you may need to grow and change.

Finally, always keep in mind that it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6 WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Ensure that your prayers and life are centered on Jesus Christ.

May God grant you peace, clarity, and the courage to walk in His will.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
