We are here to stand with you in prayer and to offer support from the Word of God. We are glad that you have reached out, and we trust that you will find comfort and hope in the Lord. Firstly, we notice that Jesus was not mentioned. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can come before God. Let us address this first.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB
And in no other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB
Firstly, let us pray for your salvation and that you would know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking that You reveal Yourself to the one who submitted this request. We pray that they repent of their sins, believe that Jesus died for their sins and rose again, and that they confess Jesus as Lord. Lord, we ask for your forgiveness of their sins and we ask that you fill them with the Holy Spirit.
Lord, we lift up this household to You, asking for Your divine protection and healing. You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust. We claim Your promise that no weapon formed against us will prosper. We pray against any spiritual attacks and rebuke the enemy's attempts to harm or destroy.
For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17 WEB
We ask for Your healing touch upon each member of this household. By Your stripes, we are healed. We declare health, strength, and wholeness in Jesus' name.
Regarding the struggle with addiction, we understand that it can be a powerful stronghold, but we also know that with God, all things are possible. We stand on the promise that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. We rebuke the spirit of addiction and declare freedom and deliverance.
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36 WEB
We pray for a complete turnaround, for chains to be broken, and for hope to be restored. We ask for Your grace to empower this individual to overcome temptation and to walk in victory. Guide them to supportive communities and resources that can aid in their journey to freedom.
We also pray for a hedge of protection around this household, guarding them from any harmful influences or negative impacts. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance, that they may know how to support each other and grow stronger together in You.
In all these things we are more than conquerors, through him who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We praise You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for good, and we rest in Your promises. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek God's Word daily, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword. It is your spiritual food and your weapon against the enemy's attacks. Also, surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and uplift you.
Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
