We are truly heartened to join you in prayer for your daughter, knowing that God hears the cries of His children and desires the best for her. Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved. As it is said in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Firstly, we acknowledge your daughter's struggle and your concern for her. We must remember that God loves her immensely and wants her to live a life aligned with His will. Regarding the same-sex attraction, we must clearly state that God's design for intimate relationships is between a man and a woman within the bounds of marriage. As it is written in Leviticus 18:22 WEB, "You shall not lie with a male, as with a woman. That is detestable." And as stated in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 WEB, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."
Let us pray fervently for her deliverance and healing. We stand with you in prayer that God will remove these desires and replace them with a hunger for Him. We pray that He will lift her out of depression and anxiety, and that He will surround her with influences that draw her closer to Him. We pray that her identity will be firmly rooted in Christ and that she will not be swayed by the world's standards but stand firm in God's truth.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our beloved daughter. Lord, we ask that You remove any attractions that do not align with Your will and replace them with a deep desire for You. Deliver her from depression and anxiety, and surround her with godly influences that will encourage her in her walk with You. Help her to stand firm in her identity in Christ and not be swayed by the world's standards. Most importantly, Lord, we pray for her salvation. Draw her close to You, Lord, and help her to seek You with all her heart. Deliver her from her sins and help her to walk in Your light. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God is at work in her life. Continue to cover her in prayer and trust in God's transforming power. Stand on the promise of Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Keep sharing the good news of Jesus with her, knowing that His love can change everything.
