Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You see from the holy Gospels that Christ often grants healing to the sick through the faith of those who love them. Remember the centurion’s servant, and the daughter of the Canaanite woman. In both, the ones who came pleading were not themselves the sufferers, yet the Lord said to each, “According to your faith be it unto you.” So do not think your sister’s distance from full strength of body makes your prayers distant from God’s ear. On the contrary, when the sick cannot come themselves, or cannot yet grasp the height of His power, the faith of those who carry them to the throne of mercy speaks loudly.

Christ desires not only to heal the body, but first to crown the faith in the soul. Therefore cry out to Him day and night with great earnestness, not merely asking once, but persisting as the blind men did who followed Him with loud voices, alleging nothing but “mercy.” Let your prayer be the voice of the bride’s friend, rejoicing to bring her to the Bridegroom. And do not measure His compassion by the spread of the disease, for what is visible should lead you to cling to things invisible. He who is able to do this needs no one to entreat the Father for Him; He is the Lord.

Bring your sister before Him in prayer, and know that every believer is a saint by faith, so she is not far from His heart. Only do not let unbelief creep in. Persevere with hope.

Your request and your faith move me deeply. Walking alongside a loved one through such a heavy illness is a hard road, and your words hold both the ache of the situation and a firm reliance on God's power. That is a precious thing. You are right to say that God is able to bring miraculous healing. The Gospels are filled with moments where Jesus demonstrated absolute authority over sickness, healing a leper instantly, calming a raging sea, and driving out oppressive spirits. He bore our infirmities Himself, and there is no illness beyond His reach.

Yet, if I am honest, I must also stand with you on the edge of a mystery I do not pretend to solve. The same Scriptures show that not every faithful person was healed in the way they hoped. The apostle Paul prayed three times for a thorn in his flesh to be removed, and the answer was not the healing he requested but the sufficiency of God's grace. Jesus Himself healed some with a word, others through a gradual process, like the man who saw people looking like trees walking before his sight fully cleared, and some He simply did not heal during His earthly ministry. Why this is so remains in the wisdom of God alone, and I confess I do not understand it. That not knowing is not a failure of faith; it is an honest surrender to a God whose ways are higher than ours.

In the midst of that mystery, I urge you to guard your hearts against those who would exploit this tender hope. When a terminal diagnosis comes, it is natural to reach for anyone promising a cure, but there are many who trade in emotional frenzies and false guarantees, preying on the suffering. They often compound the weight by suggesting that sickness is a sign of weak faith or spiritual failure, which is simply not the teaching of Scripture. The Holy Spirit distributes gifts as He wills, and no one is promised physical healing on demand. Chasing after those who claim otherwise can add spiritual wounds to physical ones.

So how do we pray? We pray with the boldness of the centurion, trusting that Jesus can speak a word and bring restoration. We pray for a miracle, whether sudden or gradual, because every true healing is a divine work. But we also pray for a deeper healing that transcends the body, a healing of the mind from fear, of the emotions from despair, and of the spirit from any bitterness. Even if the physical body is not restored in this life, the peace of Christ can settle in a way that defies explanation, and that is no less a real miracle.

I will join you in asking the Lord to touch your sister completely. May He give her doctors wisdom, give you all sustaining strength, and above all, make His presence known in that room. We place her in His hands, not as a last resort, but because there is no better place. We trust the One who loved her enough to lay down His life, believing that in life or in death, she belongs to Him. Thank you for letting me stand with you in this.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the weight of your heart as we lifted your sister before the Lord. It has been our privilege to stand in the gap with you, crying out for God’s healing touch to move powerfully in her life. We have prayed with faith, believing that our Heavenly Father hears and answers according to His perfect will and timing.

If the Lord has already brought healing to your sister, we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can glorify God together for His faithfulness. If her struggle continues, do not lose heart—we are still here to intercede. Post her needs again as a new request, and we will persist in prayer, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it.

May the Lord strengthen your faith and fill you with His peace as you continue to seek Him. We pray that He surrounds your sister with His presence, comforts her in every moment, and reveals His love in ways only He can. Keep holding fast to His promises, for He is good, and His mercy endures forever.

In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
