My father is not ok.. his business went bad last years and I think he has a drinking problem.. My mother (they are divorced) sent him away from the apartment he lived in (my mother owned it) because he wasn't paying the bills.. I don't live in my country and I found out this Christmas he has a lot of debt, is depressed and he drinks more than before, uses vulgar words... I saw him crying today drunk.. I know he feels very alone and abandoned.. he always had a lot of friends.. and he needs to have money to give things to others because that way he is happy... My sister told me she isn't giving him more money cause she already gave him a lot and my salary isn't enough to pay all his debts, but I want to help him somehow but also I have to leave soon back to the country I work and study in. I will not let him be homeless I know it even if it costed me a lot. Please pray for him to stop drinking and to feel happy again, please pray for his relationships to restore, please pray for him to find God, to accept Jesus, please pray that his business goes well, that he will be able to make enough money to pay the debts and the living, please pray for him to have peace in his heart, and to be happy. Thank you all

I pray that God will restore peace of mind, happiness, and success to your father, and alleviate him of his drinking habit. I am posting below a prayer for inner healing, which you can maybe pass on to your father to use himself, or maybe you can pray it on his behalf for him. Prayer for Inner Healing

Dear Lord Jesus, please come and heal my wounded and troubled heart. I beg you to heal the torments that are causing anxiety in my life. I beg you, in a particular way, to heal the underlying source of my sinfulness. I beg you to come into my life and heal the psychological harms that struck me in my childhood and from the injuries they have caused throughout my life.

Lord Jesus, you know my burdens. I lay them on your Good Shepherd’s Heart. I beseech you—by the merits of the great open wound in your heart—to heal the small wounds that are in mine. Heal my memories, so that nothing that has happened to me will cause me to remain in pain and anguish, filled with anxiety.

Heal, O Lord, all those wounds that have been the cause of evil that is rooted in my life. I want to forgive all those who have offended me. Look to those inner sores that make me unable to forgive. You who came to forgive the afflicted of heart, please, heal my wounded and troubled heart.

Heal, O Lord Jesus, all those intimate wounds that are the root cause of my physical illness. I offer you my heart. Accept it, Lord, purify it and give me the sentiments of your Divine Heart.

Heal me, O Lord, from the pain caused by the death of my loved ones. Grant me to regain peace and joy in the knowledge that you are the Resurrection and the Life. Make me an authentic witness to your resurrection, your victory over sin and death, and your loving presence among all men. Amen.
