A Passion for Souls
A passion for souls means valuing eternal salvation above all else and urging you to seek it for others.
Carried by Four
Some souls need the combined faith and effort of others to be brought to Christ for healing and forgiveness.
The Ivory Palaces
Christ’s love is a fragrant, healing sacrifice that calls you to embrace his eternal grace and mercy.
We join with you in bringing your friend before the throne of grace and we thank you for having such love and concern for their soul, for this is the heart of God Himself who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4 and who is patient not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9.

We are reminded that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus and we gently point this out because it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God and receive the gift of eternal life. Scripture tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 and the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 6:23. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved Romans 10:9. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16. This is the good news we long for your friend to hear and receive.

We pray together for your friend now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear friend to You in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask that You open the eyes of their heart and remove any veil that keeps them from seeing the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ 2 Corinthians 4:4. We pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict them of sin and draw them to Yourself, that You would give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them Ezekiel 36:26. Lord, place people and opportunities in their path to hear the gospel clearly, and give our friend who is praying the boldness and love to speak the truth with grace. We ask that they would come to repentance, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and be saved, and that You would make them a new creation in Christ. We trust Your perfect timing and Your perfect will and we ask all of this in the saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede faithfully and to be a living witness of the gospel. Continue to share the word of God with gentleness and respect, live out your faith before them, and invite them to hear the message of Christ whenever the Lord opens the door. The Lord is faithful to hear our prayers when we ask according to His will 1 John 5:14 and He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him Hebrews 7:25. Keep praying, keep loving, and keep pointing your friend to Jesus, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ Romans 10:17.

We were grateful to see your heart for your friend and your desire to see him come to know Jesus. It is a loving and faithful thing to carry someone you care about to the Lord in prayer, and we are honored to join you in that.

We know it can feel heavy when you long for someone to experience God's grace and you cannot see what He is doing beneath the surface. We take comfort in remembering that salvation is God's work in the heart. We cannot change a heart ourselves, but we can keep praying, keep loving our friend well, and trust God's timing and mercy as He draws people to Himself through Christ.

One simple practice that many have found helpful is to pray for your friend by name at a consistent time, asking God to soften his heart, to place people and moments in his path that point him toward Jesus, and to give you natural, unforced opportunities to share what Christ has done in your own life. Just remaining a steady, kind and honest presence often speaks more than we realize.

We are standing with you in this.

Father, we lift this friend to You today. You know him, You love him, and You see his need. We ask that You would draw him to Yourself through Jesus, open his heart to Your grace, and give his friend wisdom, patience and love as he walks beside him. Have Your way in both of their lives according to Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a good and tender thing that you have laid your friend upon your heart and brought him before the Lord in prayer, for there is no truer love to a friend than to desire his salvation.

Let us pray together that the Lord in His sovereign mercy will visit your friend and bring him to salvation by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed, and the way of salvation is to believe on Christ, whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. What is believing on Him but to trust in Him, to leave the whole matter of salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence, to depend upon Him without fear as to present and eternal salvation. This is the faith which saves the soul, for it is believing on a Person, even on Him.

We will entreat the Lord that He will incline your friend to look unto Jesus and be saved, for God Himself has said, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. How simple is that way of salvation and how instantaneous, for a look does not require a moment. There is no other way for any sinner. He has concluded all in unbelief that He might have mercy upon all, that free grace might come upon many to salvation. May your friend be led to look and live.

And what a Friend he will find when he looks to Christ. There is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother, and that Friend is the blessed Redeemer, Jesus Christ, the Friend of sinners. He loves at all times, yea, He loved before there was any time, and He gave His heart's blood and let His soul run out that sinners might be saved. Such a Friend never will forsake those who trust Him.

Therefore continue in prayer, and as you have opportunity, set plainly before your friend the Gospel of salvation. Faith must be urged upon him, for without it there is no salvation. Tell him that salvation is without money and without price, to be had by simple trust in the Lord Jesus. I can bring the horse to the water but I cannot make him drink, and so you and I can bring the truth before our friends, but God alone must give the living faith. Pray that the Holy Spirit will make him earnest about his own salvation, to ask whether he is saved, and to commit his soul into the hands of God.

May the Lord hear your prayer and grant your friend that one simple act of faith by which his salvation shall be secured, and kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, till he comes to be where Jesus is in everlasting bliss.

Father, humbly ask for Your power to intervene. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26
