Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in bringing this man before the Lord and we share your desire to see him come to know Jesus Christ. Scripture shows us that conversion is possible and that when a person turns to Christ, the Lord is ready to heal and save, not for His own need but for the salvation of the one who repents. There is no other name by which we are saved except Jesus, who gave Himself for us and whose death is the salvation of the world.
We pray that God in His mercy would open this man's eyes to see that the gospel is true, that Jesus is risen and is Lord, and that he would turn from unbelief to faith. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him of his need for Christ, grant him repentance and faith, and make him a new creation. If it is the Lord's will, we pray that the work he now uses to speak against God would be transformed into a platform to speak the truth of Christ with clarity and love, and that whatever he does would give thanks to God for the great salvation we have in Jesus.
We encourage you to continue to pray faithfully for him, to speak the truth in love when you have opportunity, and to give thanks continually for the grace God has shown to us all in Christ. We trust that God hears the prayers of His people and that He desires all to come to repentance and to know the comfort and salvation that are found in Christ alone.
