Prayer for ###

Please pray for our ### year old toy poodle ### who is going in to remove a lump on his paw in a few minutes. He has been by my side through my divorce, and other painful moments. Need your prayers. Thank you. Father I place ### in your hands. Amen

We join you in lifting up your precious toy poodle as he goes in for this surgery to remove the lump on his paw, and we understand how deeply he is loved and how faithfully he has been by your side through your divorce and other painful seasons. The bond between a person and a beloved animal is tender and real, and God sees that love.

We take comfort that our Father cares for all His creation. Scripture reminds us that a righteous man respects the life of his animal in Proverbs 12:10 and that not even a sparrow falls to the ground apart from your Father in Matthew 10:29. If He notices the sparrows, how much more does He see your concern for this little companion He entrusted to your care, and He sees your own hurting heart as well. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit in Psalm 34:18, and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3. We know the pain of divorce is deep, and while God designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman and He hates divorce as spoken in Malachi 2:16, He is also full of mercy, grace, and healing for those who have walked through that brokenness, and He desires to restore and comfort you.

We noticed your prayer was addressed to the Father, which is good, but you did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently encourage you about this. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. When we pray in Jesus name we come through His shed blood and resurrection, trusting Him as our Savior and Lord, and that is how our prayers are heard.

So together we pray to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, we place this dear little poodle into Your hands right now. We ask for Your mercy and care over him, guide the hands of the veterinarian, let this procedure go smoothly and completely, and grant him a quick and full recovery with no complications or pain. Comfort him and keep him calm, and comfort his owner who loves him so dearly. Lord, You know the loneliness and hurt that has been carried through divorce and other trials, and we ask You to continue to heal that broken heart, to surround this dear one with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and to draw them closer to You through faith in Jesus. Help them to trust You with all outcomes, knowing that You work all things for good for those who love You in Romans 8:28. We ask this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to keep trusting the Lord with both your beloved companion and your own heart. He is faithful and He cares for you both, and we are praying for a good report and for His peace to fill your home in the days ahead.

While you wait, it may help to have one person you can text or sit with so you are not waiting alone, and to have a quiet, warm spot ready at home for him to rest afterwards. When the vet comes back to talk with you, feel free to ask them to write down the aftercare steps so you do not have to remember everything at once.

We are asking the Lord to be near to you both in this.

Father, we place this dear little dog in Your hands and ask for Your care over him and over the hands caring for him. Grant wisdom to the vet team, a steady recovery, and peace to his owner who loves him so much. Comfort them both today and let them feel Your nearness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank you for sharing your burden with us, and for entrusting your dear companion to our prayers. We understand what a comfort a faithful little creature can be, especially when he has kept by your side through the loneliness of divorce and other seasons of deep sorrow. The Lord who formed all creatures and who numbers even the sparrows knows your affection for him and sees your anxious heart in these minutes of waiting.

We join you in placing him in the Father's hands. The Scriptures remind us that the Lord is the one who comforts His people, saying, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, and that He will keep in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him, because he trusts in Him. That peace is not only for great trials, but for these tender, present cares that press upon the heart. When duties and sorrows throng around us, to do the will of Jesus and to rest in His keeping is rest indeed.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are merciful and kind, and that Your care extends to all that You have made. We place this little poodle before You now as he undergoes the removal of the lump upon his paw. We ask that You would give skill and steadiness to the hands that care for him, that You would grant a safe procedure and a gentle recovery, and if it be Your will, that the report would be favorable and free from further trouble. Above all, we ask that You would comfort Your child who loves him so dearly. Calm the anxious thoughts, quiet the waiting, and let the blood of Jesus whisper peace within. Teach this heart to stay itself upon You, to find in Your Word a present comfort in affliction, and to know that whether loved ones are near or far, in Your keeping we are safe. Grant healing according to Your wisdom, and grant trust to receive Your will with a peaceful heart. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

May the Lord sustain you in this hour and in the days that follow. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and may His perfect peace guard your heart and mind. Please let us know how he does, that we may continue to pray and give thanks with you.

Thank you for sharing your heart and trusting us to pray with you in this anxious moment. We hear how much your little companion means to you, staying faithfully by your side through the pain of divorce and other difficult seasons, and how natural it is to feel worried as he goes in for this procedure.

We are praying for you and for him now. We ask our merciful Father to guide the hands of the veterinarian, to grant a safe and successful removal of the lump, a smooth recovery, and freedom from further trouble. We also pray that He will comfort your heart while you wait, and give you His peace that steadies us in every tribulation.

God knows our afflictions and He is near to comfort those who are cast down. This house of prayer is like a place of healing where we bring the wounds we have received outside and ask the Lord to heal them. We do not place our hope in miracles for their own sake, but in a faithful life before God, knowing that He is debtor to those who walk with Him in virtue and love, and that He hears the prayers offered in a pure conscience.

You did well to place him in the Father's hands. The Lord cares for all His creation and He cares deeply for you who are made in His image and for the sorrows you have carried. May He comfort your heart as you wait for news, may He sustain you with the assurance of His presence, and may He grant your dear companion relief and restored health.
