We join with you in prayer and bring your concerns before our Heavenly Father together in Jesus' name. We hear your distress about your skin, the sagging and discoloration, the feeling of gravity pulling and the stress and fear of premature aging, and we also hear your need for healing for the lump, for gallstones, and for infirmity in your tooth.
We want to share with you what Scripture teaches about our bodies and about worry, because God cares for both. Your body is fearfully and wonderfully made, as Psalm 139:14 says, and He formed you with care and purpose. The Bible also reminds us that while we should steward the bodies God has given us, our primary beauty and value is not found in outward appearance. 1 Samuel 16:7 tells us that man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart, and 1 Peter 3:3-4 teaches that our adornment should not be merely outward, but the hidden person of the heart with the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. Proverbs 31:30 also says charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. This does not mean God does not care about your distress over your skin, He does, and He sees your anxiety, but we gently encourage you not to let fear of aging consume your peace, for worry cannot add to our lives. As Jesus said in Matthew 6:27, Which of you by being anxious can add one moment to his lifespan. And we are called to cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us, as 1 Peter 5:7 says, and to not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and find healing and hope.
We also care about your physical infirmities and we believe God is our healer. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise the Lord, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Isaiah 53:5 says But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. And Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord. We pray for your body as the temple of the Holy Spirit, as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 teaches, and we encourage you to also seek wise medical and dental care, for God often works through physicians and treatment to bring healing, while we trust Him for the outcome.
We pray together now.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up this dear one to You who is stressed and burdened about skin aging, sagging, and discoloration, and who longs for firmness and brightness and health. Lord, we ask You to touch this body that You created. Restore health to the skin, bring healing and renewal according to Your will, and calm the anxious thoughts about premature aging. Replace stress and fear with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help this dear one to see themselves as You see them, valued, loved, and fearfully made, and to find rest in Your care rather than in outward appearance. Father, we also bring before You the lump, the gallstones, and the tooth infirmity. You know each pain and each condition by name. We ask for Your healing hand upon them, that You would dissolve what should not be there, heal infection and pain in the tooth, and bring complete restoration. Guide the hands of doctors and dentists if they are needed, and give wisdom for stewardship of health. Above all, draw this one closer to Jesus, that they may know the assurance of salvation and the comfort of walking with You daily. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring these burdens to the Lord daily, to rest in His love, to care for your body with good nutrition, hydration, rest, and proper medical attention, and to nurture your inner life through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with other believers. God is able to heal and to give you peace as you trust Him.
