Prayer for ###

We join you in lifting up this dear brother and his family before the throne of grace, and we thank you for loving him well enough to urge him to seek medical attention. Chest pain should never be ignored, and we pray he will follow through promptly and fully with godly wisdom and medical care, for the Lord often works through the hands of physicians as instruments of His healing.
We are encouraged to hear that he loves Jesus, for it is in His name alone that we have confidence to approach the Father. We are reminded that He is the Great Physician who forgives and heals, as it is written Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And we cling to His promise in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.
We also pray for his guidance and direction during this uncertain time, that he would not lean on fear or his own understanding but trust the Lord fully. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And for you and the whole family who are carrying this burden of concern, we pray the peace of God over you, for Philippians 4:6-7 tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother to You. You know his body, You know the cause of this chest pain, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon him, to calm his heart, to regulate his body, and to restore him to full health according to Your will. Guide the doctors and medical staff with wisdom and discernment, give them clarity to find the cause and to provide the right treatment. We pray for Your guidance and direction over his life in this moment, that he would hear Your voice clearly and be led in every decision. Comfort his family, take away fear and anxiety, and fill them with Your perfect peace that passes all understanding. We thank You that he belongs to You through faith in Jesus, and we trust him into Your loving care. We ask all this in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior, amen.

Your request for prayer has been received with sincere concern and we do join you in bringing this dear one before the throne of grace.
We are glad you have advised him to seek medical attention, for we very speedily care for bodily diseases and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing. Chest pain is not to be taken lightly, and to seek the help of the physician is a wise and proper use of the means which Providence has placed at our hand, while we look above those means to the great Physician Himself. We pray that he will not delay but will be seen promptly, and that the Lord will give skill to those who care for him.
There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. We have prayed that as this dear brother loves Jesus, he may know that blessed conjunction, that his sins are pardoned in Christ and that the healing virtue which grace has infused will work in him for good, whether the Lord sees fit to raise him up speedily or to sustain him through a longer trial.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, feeder of sparrows and Father of mercies, look in compassion upon this Thy servant who suffers pain in his body. Lay Thy hand upon him and grant relief, if it be Thy will, and restore him to health and strength. We ask Thee to guide the hands and minds of those who shall examine and treat him, and to give him and those who love him wisdom in every decision. Thou hast promised to guide Thy people with Thy counsel, and afterward to receive them to glory. We ask for that guidance now, that in this time of uncertainty he may be led clearly, kept from haste and from fear, and bowing with submission to Thy will may find unerring direction. Let him feel Thy presence near, and know that whether in weakness or in health, Thou art his portion and his guide. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses, and in whom we trust for time and for eternity. Amen.
