We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is in need of healing. We declare together that our God is indeed the Great Physician, the One who formed every cell in his body and knows every struggle he faces. The Word reminds us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise, believing that God’s healing power is at work even now.
We also lift up the medical team attending to him, asking for divine wisdom and skill to rest upon them. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." We pray that every decision made by the doctors and nurses would be guided by the Holy Spirit, leading to the best possible outcome.
Father, we ask for Your peace to envelop this family during this trial. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke fear, anxiety, and despair in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this family will not be overwhelmed but will rise in faith, trusting in Your goodness and mercy.
We also take a moment to address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If this request does not yet come from a heart that has surrendered to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we gently but urgently invite that step of faith. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is the first and greatest healing any of us can receive.
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love. We trust You with this life, knowing that Your plans for him are for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We declare Your healing power over his body, mind, and spirit. Strengthen him, restore him, and let Your glory be revealed through his testimony. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
