We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious marriage and the urgent need for employment. Father God, we know that You are the Provider, the One who opens doors that no man can shut and who supplies every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We ask that You would go before this husband in his interview, granting him favor, wisdom, and clarity. May the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 be his guide: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
Lord, we also pray for peace in this home. The stress of unemployment can weigh heavily on a marriage, but we declare that this trial will not break this union. Instead, may it draw this couple closer to You and to one another. Remind them that their worth is not found in a job title but in being Your beloved children. Help them to cast their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and doubt that may be creeping into their hearts. The enemy would love to see this family discouraged, but we stand on Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). We pray for supernatural provision—whether through this job or another opportunity You have prepared. May this husband walk in confidence, knowing that his steps are ordered by You (Psalm 37:23).
Father, if there are any areas where this couple has placed their trust in worldly security rather than in You, we ask for conviction and repentance. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). Strengthen their faith in this season, and let them experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways.
We also pray for unity in this marriage. May this trial refine their love and commitment to one another, reflecting the sacrificial love Christ has for His church (Ephesians 5:25). Give them patience, kindness, and grace toward one another as they navigate this challenge together.
Lord, we ask that You would bless this interview. May the hiring managers see the value, integrity, and skills You have placed in this husband. If it is Your will, open this door wide for him. If not, close it gently and lead him to the right opportunity. We trust You, knowing that Your plans are for their good and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
