Disciple of Prayer
Please pray in agreement with me: Lord God, we come before You with heavy hearts, burdened for our nation. We acknowledge the sins of this land—sins of pride, division, injustice, and rebellion. As a people, we have strayed from Your ways and turned to our own understanding. We confess, Lord, that we have acted presumptuously, thinking we could prosper without Your guidance. "But they and our fathers acted presumptuously and stiffened their neck and did not obey Your commandments" (Nehemiah 9:16). We have failed to uphold Your truth and righteousness, and we have allowed sin to run rampant in our land. Yet, You are merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. "You are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love" (Nehemiah 9:17). We repent on behalf of our nation. Forgive us for the ways we have allowed sin to shape our culture, for the times we have ignored Your voice, and for the injustices that have plagued our land. Cleanse us, O God, and restore us to Your righteousness. We pray that You would heal our land and our hearts. Lord, You are the Creator and Sustainer of all things. "You are the Lord, You alone. You have made the heavens, the earth, the seas, and all that is in them; and You preserve all of them" (Nehemiah 9:6). You are the Sovereign God who rules over nations, and there is none beside You. We worship You as the One who holds all things in Your hands. You are the Creator of this land, and we humbly acknowledge that You alone are worthy of our praise and honor. We recognize that our nation’s future is in Your hands, and we pray for Your divine guidance to lead us back to You. We ask that You would restore righteousness to our government, our cities, and our homes. May Your truth once again be our foundation, and may Your ways guide us in all we do. Thank You, Lord, for the many blessings You have poured out on this nation. You have provided for us abundantly, and You have been faithful in times of plenty and in times of trial. "You gave Your good Spirit to instruct them and did not withhold Your manna from their mouth and gave them water for their thirst" (Nehemiah 9:20). Even when we have been unfaithful, You have continued to provide for us, showing us Your grace and mercy. We thank You for the freedoms we enjoy, for the opportunities to live in peace, and for the countless ways You have blessed this land. We do not take these gifts for granted, and we give You all the glory and praise for Your goodness. Lord, we are in distress. "Behold, we are slaves this day; and we are in great distress" (Nehemiah 9:36). Our nation is torn by division, injustice, and confusion. We cry out to You for deliverance. We ask that You would bring healing to our land, and freedom to all who are oppressed. Free us from the chains of sin that bind us—whether they be greed, hatred, pride, or division. Deliver us from the false idols we have placed before You and bring us back to a heart of true worship and humility. We pray for revival, Lord, that Your Spirit would move across this nation and turn the hearts of the people back to You. May Your justice and mercy flow through our cities, and may peace reign in our hearts and communities. Father, we surrender our nation to You. We confess our sins, we acknowledge Your sovereignty, and we give thanks for Your abundant mercy. We pray for repentance to sweep across the United States, for healing and restoration to take place, and for Your name to be glorified once again in this land. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come. We trust in Your power to restore, and we give You all the glory, honor, and praise, now and forevermore. In Jesus Christ name Amen.

We join our hearts with yours in fervent prayer for our nation, acknowledging the weight of sin that has taken root in the land—pride, division, injustice, and rebellion against the ways of the Lord. The words of Nehemiah ring true today as they did in ancient times: *"But they and our fathers acted presumptuously, stiffened their neck, and did not obey Your commandments"* (Nehemiah 9:16). We have indeed strayed, trusting in our own understanding rather than seeking the wisdom of the Almighty. Yet, we take comfort in the truth that God is *"ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness"* (Nehemiah 9:17). His mercy is our hope, and His righteousness is our standard.

We repent on behalf of this nation, confessing the ways we have allowed sin to shape our culture—where truth is suppressed, where the vulnerable are oppressed, and where the name of the Lord is often mocked or ignored. We have exchanged the glory of the immortal God for idols of materialism, self-reliance, and moral relativism. The Word warns us, *"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people"* (Proverbs 14:34). We have seen the consequences of turning away from God’s design, and we cry out for restoration.

Father, we acknowledge that You alone are the Creator and Sustainer of all things. *"You are Yahweh, even you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their army, the earth and all things that are on it, the seas and all that is in them, and you preserve them all"* (Nehemiah 9:6). You hold the nations in Your hand, and nothing escapes Your sovereign will. We surrender this land to You, asking that You would heal our brokenness and turn the hearts of the people back to You. Let revival begin in the church first—may Your people humble themselves, pray, seek Your face, and turn from their wicked ways, so that You may hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14).

We pray for those in authority, that they would govern with wisdom, justice, and fear of the Lord. *"When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan"* (Proverbs 29:2). Raise up leaders who will uphold biblical truth, defend the innocent, and lead with integrity. Let Your light expose the darkness of corruption, deception, and moral decay that has crept into our institutions.

Lord, we also lift up the families of this nation. The breakdown of the family unit has left deep wounds in our society. We pray for marriages to be strengthened, for parents to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and for homes to be places of love, discipline, and godly instruction. *"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1). Only You can restore what has been broken.

We rebuke the spirit of division that has fractured communities, churches, and even households. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against this nation shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand firm on the promise that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7). Let unity be restored among believers, that the world may know that You sent Jesus and have loved us as You loved Him (John 17:23).

Father, we also address the sins that have become normalized in our culture—sexual immorality, the murder of the unborn, the celebration of lifestyles that defy Your design, and the rejection of absolute truth. We repent for the times we have remained silent when we should have spoken, and we ask for boldness to stand for righteousness in a crooked generation. *"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness"* (Isaiah 5:20). Let Your truth prevail, and let those who have been deceived come to the knowledge of salvation through Jesus Christ.

We thank You for the freedoms we still enjoy, for the provision You have given, and for the faithfulness You have shown even when we have been unfaithful. *"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights"* (James 1:17). We do not take Your blessings for granted, and we ask that You would use them for Your glory.

Heavenly Father, we cry out for revival. Let Your Holy Spirit move across this land like a fire, convicting hearts of sin, drawing the lost to salvation, and igniting a passion for holiness in Your people. We long to see a great awakening, where multitudes turn to You in repentance and faith. *"Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?"* (Psalm 85:6). Let the name of Jesus be exalted in every city, every state, and every heart.

We declare that our hope is not in politics, in leaders, or in human effort, but in You alone. *"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of Yahweh our God"* (Psalm 20:7). You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We trust You to heal our land, to restore what has been lost, and to bring glory to Your name.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
