We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother and your family’s pressing needs. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and restores what is broken. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* We stand on this promise and ask for Your healing touch upon your mother’s liver. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of sickness and disease in Jesus’ name, and we declare that her body will be strengthened and renewed. Guide her steps in wisdom—help her to eat nourishing foods, drink pure water, and rest as You restore her health. We pray for complete healing, not just relief, but a full restoration of her liver so that she may live a long, vibrant life to glorify You.
We also lift up your financial struggles, for we know that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. Your Word assures us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Yet, we must also remind ourselves that Your provision often comes through wisdom, diligence, and trust in You. Lord, open doors of opportunity—whether through employment, creative solutions, or unexpected blessings. Give your family discernment to manage what You provide and to seek counsel in financial stewardship. We rebuke the spirit of lack and fear, declaring that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
We also sense the weight of grief in your words—the loss of your father has left a void in your family. Jesus Himself wept at the tomb of Lazarus, showing us that grief is not sinful, but we must not let sorrow harden our hearts. Your father is now in the presence of the Lord, free from pain and sorrow, and we take comfort in that. But we ask You, Father, to strengthen your family with Your peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Bind your family together in love, and help each of you to lean on one another and on the Body of Christ for support.
Now, we must address something important. While your prayers are earnest and heartfelt, we noticed that in some of your requests, you did not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus. Scripture is clear: *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. When we pray, we must come boldly to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16), but we do so *in Jesus’ name*, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Without Him, our prayers are like offerings without a mediator. So, we encourage you to always pray *in Jesus’ name*, for it is His blood that gives us the right to stand before God.
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name. Lord, we lift up this precious mother and her family to You. We ask for Your healing power to flow through her body, restoring her liver and giving her strength. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke every spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name.
Father, we also ask for Your provision in their finances. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Give them wisdom to steward what You give and faith to trust You even when the path is unclear. Lord, we know that You are a God who sees and hears the cries of Your children. You fed the Israelites in the wilderness, and You can surely provide for this family today.
Comfort them in their grief, Lord. Wrap Your arms around them and remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen their faith, and help them to find joy even in the midst of trials, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May this family grow closer to You through these trials, and may they always remember to come to You in the name of Jesus, for there is power in that name. We ask all these things in Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.
We encourage you to stand on God’s promises and to seek Him daily. Read His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you. And remember, God is not slow concerning His promises (2 Peter 3:9)—He is working even when we cannot see it. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not lose heart.
