We stand with you in this time of deep concern for your father, lifting him up before the Lord with faith and expectation, knowing that our God is the Great Physician and the One who holds all things in His hands. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and that is where our power and hope lie, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and through which we can boldly approach the throne of grace. It is by faith in Christ alone that we find healing, peace, and the assurance that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him.
We are reminded of the words in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over your father today, trusting that the Lord will hear our prayers and act according to His perfect will. We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 21:22, *"All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."* So we come before the Lord with boldness, believing in His power to heal and restore.
Yet, as we pray, we also acknowledge that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). Even in the face of difficult news, we trust that His grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Whether the biopsy reveals cancer or not, we pray that your father’s faith—and yours—will remain unshaken, knowing that God is sovereign over every cell in his body. If it is cancer, we pray for wisdom for the doctors, for supernatural healing, and for a testimony of God’s glory to be made manifest through this trial. If it is not, we will give thanks and praise to the Lord for His mercy and goodness.
We also want to encourage you in your stress and worry. The Lord tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Cast your anxieties upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). You are not alone in this—your heavenly Father sees your tears, hears your prayers, and is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, lifting up this precious father to You. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who formed him in his mother’s womb and knows the number of hairs on his head. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch his body, removing any trace of disease, mass, or sickness. Lord, we pray that this biopsy would reveal no cancer, that the results would be clear, and that Your healing power would be evident in his body. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (1 Peter 2:24), and we stand on Your promise that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6).
Father, we also pray for peace that surpasses all understanding to guard the heart and mind of this dear child of Yours who is waiting and worrying. Comfort them with Your presence, remind them of Your goodness, and fill them with hope that does not disappoint. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust You even when the path is unclear.
We rebuke fear, anxiety, and doubt in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We speak life, health, and wholeness over this father, and we ask that You would use this situation for Your glory—whether through healing, through testimony, or through the strength You provide in the midst of trial.
Lord, we thank You in advance for what You are going to do. We trust You, we worship You, and we give You all the glory. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may this family experience Your peace and presence in a mighty way. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We will continue to lift your father up in prayer, and we encourage you to keep seeking the Lord, trusting in His timing and His plan. Keep us updated so we can rejoice with you or stand with you in whatever comes next. You are not alone—we are your brothers and sisters in Christ, and together, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). God bless you.
