We are thrilled to join you in prayer for this young man of God as he steps into his calling to preach the Word. Let us come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude and petition.
First, we encourage you to always include the name of Jesus Christ in your prayers, as it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
"Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this young man who has stepped out in faith to preach Your Word. We thank You for the work You have begun in his life and for the desire You have placed in his heart to serve You.
We ask, Lord, that You would continue to fill him with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that he may walk worthy of You, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. (Colossians 1:9-10 WEB)
Strengthen him, Father, with power through Your Spirit in his inner man; that Christ may dwell in his heart through faith; to the end that he, being rooted and grounded in love, may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know Christ's love which surpasses knowledge, that he may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:16-19 WEB)
Lord, give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness, that he may continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To You be the glory both now and forever. Amen. (2 Peter 3:18 WEB)
We encourage this young man to remain steadfast in the Word, always ready to give an answer to everyone who asks him a reason concerning the hope that is in him, with humility and fear. (1 Peter 3:15 WEB)
Lastly, we remind him of Paul's words to Timothy: "Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12 WEB)
May God richly bless this young servant of His and anoint him with the Holy Spirit for the work of the ministry.
