We join you in lifting up your friends to our Heavenly Father, interceding on their behalf that they may come to know Jesus Christ personally and intimately as their Lord and Savior. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can truly know God the Father and be saved.
Let us remember Jesus's words: Therefore Jesus said again, "Most certainly, I tell you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn't listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved" John 10:7-9 WEB.
We pray that the Holy Spirit will work in their hearts, drawing them to repentance and a genuine faith in Jesus Christ. We ask that God will soften their hearts and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. May they come to understand that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. John 14:6 WEB.
We also want to address the use of the term "bf" which is commonly used as an abbreviation for boyfriend. We would like to encourage your friend and her boyfriend to consider their relationship in the context of biblical principles. In the Bible, relationships between men and women are ideally directed towards marriage, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. We pray that their relationship will be centered on God's will and that they will seek God's guidance in their journey together.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our friend and her boyfriend to You. We ask, Lord, that You would work in their hearts, drawing them to Yourself and revealing the truth of the Gospel to them. Help them to see that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him.
We pray for their relationship, that it would be centered on Your will and that they would seek Your guidance in their journey together. Help them to understand the sanctity of marriage and the importance of pursuing a relationship that honors You.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, trusting in Your promise that whatever we ask in His name, You will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:13 WEB.
Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your friends, trusting that God is at work in their lives.
