We are truly sorry to hear that you're facing difficulties in your marriage. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical guidance.
Firstly, it's important to remember that marriage is a sacred bond ordained by God. In Ephesians 5:25, 28-29 WEB it says, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... So ought men also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly". This passage highlights the high standard of love and care that husbands are called to exhibit towards their wives, mirroring Christ's love for the church.
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage. We pray that you would soften ###'s heart and open ###'s eyes to the feelings and needs of their spouse. We ask that you would bring healing, understanding, and renewed love between them. Help them to live in a manner that is worthy of the calling they have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. We rebuke any selfishness or hard-heartedness and ask that you, Lord, would be the center of their marriage. In Jesus' name we pray, amen."
We also encourage you to express your feelings openly and calmly to ###, using "I feel" statements rather than accusatory language. Seek God together, praying for each other and growing in your faith as a couple. Remember, "Two people are better than one, because they get more done by working together" (Ecclesiastes 4:9 WEB).
Lastly, if there is a person or activity that is pulling attention away from the marriage, it is important to address this. The Bible is clear that we should not do anything that will cause another person to stumble in their walk with God. (Romans 14:13)
