Prayer For Youthful Spirits

I realize that not everyone can just go out and buy their favorite toys from childhood.  However, I did the next best thing:  Early this year, about every paycheck, I would buy another piece of my favorite comics from when I was a kid.  They were not that expensive, but they meant a lot to me.  I now display them in my office for all to see.  But the best part about them, is when I go in their, and just spend a minute gazing at all the covers, I am teleported back to when I was a kid picking up my favorite comics for a dollar, thanks to my generous parents.

I suggest that if there are one or two things that really speak to you about your childhood, try to find them.  Let their presence do for you what my comics do for me.  I am 39, but when I look at them I am 12 again.  I want to thank the Lord for that tremendous blessing, because it really is an exceptional feeling!
