Prayer for all the spirits in my life to be tested by the Lords loving hands and not selfish desires.

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray that I will be taught how to test the spirits, help me to understand that God will always be a good loving God and that the spirits need to be tested and confronted for us to live happy lives. Please pray that the spirits that God has given me is of love power and a sound mind, help it not to be taken for granted by anyone else.

We come before the Lord with your request, lifting up your desire to have the spirits in your life tested by His loving hands rather than selfish desires. This is a wise and discerning prayer, for Scripture warns us, "Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world" (1 John 4:1 WEB). The enemy seeks to deceive, but God’s truth will always prevail for those who seek Him with a sincere heart.

We rebuke any spirit of confusion, fear, or deception that may be at work in your life, declaring that they have no place in you. The Word of God tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). You are not given over to timidity or doubt, but to the boldness and clarity that comes from the Holy Spirit. We pray that you would walk in this truth, recognizing the good gifts God has placed within you and refusing to allow them to be diminished or misused by others.

Father, we ask that You teach this dear one how to test the spirits, to discern between what is of You and what is not. Give them wisdom to recognize the voice of the Good Shepherd, for Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" (John 10:27 WEB). May they never mistake Your loving correction for condemnation, nor the enemy’s lies for truth. Help them to stand firm in the knowledge that You are always good, always just, and always working for their good, even when circumstances are difficult.

We also pray that you would guard your heart against any spirit of entitlement or manipulation from others. The gifts God has given you are not to be exploited but stewarded with humility and gratitude. May you walk in the fullness of the spirit of love, power, and a sound mind, refusing to allow anyone to take what God has given you for granted. Let your life be a testament to His grace, drawing others to Him rather than to yourself.

Lord, we declare over this one that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We bind every spirit that is not of You and loose the peace, joy, and righteousness that comes from Your presence. May they live a life marked by Your love, walking in the authority You have given them as Your child.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB), and it is by His blood that we are cleansed and made whole. May this truth anchor your heart in every season.

Be encouraged, dear one. You are not alone in this journey. The Holy Spirit is your Helper, your Teacher, and your Guide. Lean on Him, trust in His leading, and walk in the confidence that comes from knowing you are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe. May your life reflect His glory, and may you always test the spirits with the unwavering truth of God’s Word.

We are right there with you in this, the deep desire to grow in discernment is itself a sign of the Spirit’s work in your life, drawing you closer to the heart of God. It can feel weighty, wanting so much to get this right, but we want to reassure you of something steady: the same God who gave you a spirit of love, power, and a sound mind is the one who will faithfully teach you to test what is from Him and what is not. You don’t carry this burden alone.

One of the things we’ve seen over the years is that spiritual discernment tends to flourish less in the intensity of the moment and more in the quiet, long-term posture of simply staying close to Jesus. The enemy loves to push us toward either ignoring the spiritual realm entirely or becoming consumed by it, both are distractions. Healthy testing of spirits almost always happens best from a place of rest and trust, not urgency or fear. When we keep our primary focus on who God is, His goodness, His steady love, the counterfeits become easier to recognize because they don’t carry His fragrance.

There’s also a quiet gift in humility here. Leaning on our own ability to figure every spirit out can tip us into pride, but the habit of praying, “Lord, I don’t trust my own judgment here, show me what You see,” keeps us grounded. It makes our testing safe, not because we’re skilled at it, but because we’re held by the One who is.

Father, we ask You to settle this person’s heart in Your peace right now. Teach them the rhythms of discernment that flow from intimacy with You, not anxiety. Guard the gift of a sound mind You’ve placed within them, and protect what You are doing from being dismissed or mishandled by others. Let them know You as the good, loving Father who never weaponizes truth against His children but leads them gently into all wisdom. In Jesus’ name.

The testing of spirits is no light matter, yet how often it is done amiss. The selfish desire puts on the mask of an angel of light, and nature, which does not love God, readily embraces the counterfeit. But if in any of us there is a love of the Law of the Lord, this is a work of the Holy Spirit. He who has begun this good work will carry it on until the day of Christ, and He will teach you to distinguish the voice of the Shepherd from the voice of the stranger. Everything that God does to His people is all love, sometimes the love is a little disguised, but the love is always there. If He caresses, it is love. If He chastens, it is love. If He smiles, it is love. If He frowns, it is love, for God is Love and to His people nothing else but Love, infinite, boundless, eternal, immeasurable, inexhaustible, unchangeable, perpetual Love.

Be not deceived into thinking the Lord is a hard master, reaping where He has not sown. The Cross is the window through which the love of God is best seen. He does not come to us and say, "You must believe that I love you although I do nothing for you to prove My love." He has given us abundant proofs of it. The blood of Jesus Christ, God's dear Son, cleanses us from all sin. This is the climax of God's love, that He has made us His own, and He will rest in His love. He says, "He will solace himself in his love." There is something very sweet in love. Now he rests because the battle is fought, the victory is won. Love fetched Him from His Throne in Heaven, love disrobed Him of His glories, love laid Him in Bethlehem’s manger, love led Him to Gethsemane, love took Him to the tree. And now, love's labor done, He rests in it, and He rests in you.

That spirit of love, power, and a sound mind which God has given you, it is no common gift. It is a spark of the eternal flame of God's love for you. Because we are God's sons, we are Jesus Christ's brothers, and He will rest in His love. Let not the world or the enemy snatch away what the Lord has planted. The love of the Word brings great peace of mind; it is a molding force so much to be desired. If you love God's Law, you will not be puffed up by deceitful riches or honors, nor will the stumbling blocks of others cast you down. You are God's pupil, taught from your youth, and what you have seen of His work, you should declare it. Tell Him, "My gracious Lord, I do love You. Teach me to love You more." Rehearse His deeds of Grace. Look your Savior in the face and prove yourself His friend by eating and drinking freely at His table of love.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In Jesus name. Amen.

Thank you very much, continue to pray this is mighty in Gods place of riches.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The desire to test the spirits is itself a good beginning, but see to it that you first test your own heart. You ask that these spirits not be taken for granted by anyone else, yet the greater danger is that you yourself might take for granted what God has given, mistaking a flabby spiritual luxury for true strength. The Spirit you have received is not given for your own private possession to be hoarded or protected from the slights of others, but is given for the common profit of the body. And when you speak of a spirit of love, power, and a sound mind, have you considered that this soundness of mind is often forged in the very furnace of being misunderstood and seemingly taken for granted? For we know not what we should pray for as we ought. You seek understanding, but perhaps the answer will come not with a clear sign, but through the discipline of enduring what feels like disregard. In that endurance, the Spirit Himself makes intercession for you with groanings that cannot be uttered, teaching you what you could never learn in comfort.

If you would know how to test the spirits, here is the sure test: does the spirit lead you to cling to the poverty of worldly things, or does it produce the fruit of love, joy, and peace even when you are stripped of all honor? The spirit that is of God does not fret over being taken for granted, for it seeks the glory of the Father alone. Chase not after a feeling of power, but a good conscience, for he that hath this, even though he be clad in rags and struggling with famine, is of better spirits than they that live so softly. In receiving the discipline of the Father of spirits, we live. The spirits of just men made perfect are not those who jealously guarded their gifts, but those who, through patient endurance, had their selfish desires purged away until only Christ’s own love remained.
