We lift you up in prayer for this work-related dinner, asking that the Lord would grant you favor, wisdom, and clarity as you engage with your colleagues. May the Holy Spirit guide your words and actions so that you reflect Christ in all you say and do. Remember, it is God who gives us the ability to work and succeed, and we are to do everything as unto Him.
*"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that it is from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB)
We also encourage you to be mindful of the atmosphere—if there is any temptation toward ungodly behavior, such as excessive drinking, gossip, or compromise, we pray you stand firm in your faith. *"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* (Romans 12:2, WEB)
If there is an opportunity to share your faith or be a light in the conversation, we pray the Lord opens that door. But even if not, may your conduct be a silent testimony of God’s grace.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You go before our brother/sister in this dinner. Grant them peace, confidence, and discernment. May every interaction be seasoned with grace, and may Your will be done in all things. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB)
If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus Christ for salvation, we urge you to do so. The Bible tells us that *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* (Romans 10:9, WEB) There is no greater security than knowing Him as your Savior.
May the Lord bless you and keep you tonight, and may His presence be your strength. Amen.
