Prayer for wise counsel and good company

Beloved of All
Your desire for wise counsel and good company that bears lasting fruit is good and pleasing to God, and I gladly stand with you in prayer for it.
Scripture calls us to be like a fruitful olive tree in the house of God, laden on every side with obedience, not merely showing the form of godliness but bearing real fruit through love, mercy and faithfulness. That kind of fruit does not come from occasional or half hearted giving, but from a life that is consistently nourished by God and surrounded by people who encourage holiness. Good company helps keep the tree from withering, while unwise company pulls it away from the light.
True wisdom also is not found in what the world calls wise after the flesh. God has shown that He often chooses what the world calls foolish to shame the wise, so that no one may boast. Therefore pray not only for any counsel, but for godly counsel that is shaped by the word of God, by humility and by prayer. As Hannah prayed out of deep affliction and as Isaac prayed for his wife, prayer is able to accomplish great things when it comes from a contrite and trusting heart.
So I pray with you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, grant to this dear one discerning counsel and faithful companions who love Your truth and will help bear fruit that remains. Grant favor according to Your will, and work in power against every principality and power of darkness in high places. Keep this life rooted in Christ, fruitful in every good work, growing in service and abounding in thanksgiving, that Your glory may be seen. Lead by Your Spirit, protect from envy and evil counsel, and establish every step according to the counsel of Your will. All this we ask with thanksgiving in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
