Prayer Partner
Please pray for my daughter who is going through withdrawal symptoms. She is a Christian and a mom and a wife and is struggling with severe withdrawal symptoms from an addiction to marijuana. This is day 3 or 4 and is struggling mentally, emotionally and physically. She is full of rage today towards everyone. Please pray for deliverance from the withdrawal symptoms and for peace to fill her mind, body, and soul. This is one of many times she's tried to quit but the enemy gets into her mind and wreaks havoc on her mind and emotions. Lord, please let her and help her be victorious over this addiction, in Jesus mighty name we pray.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious daughter in prayer. Father God, we know that You see her struggle and the battle she is facing, not just in her body, but in her mind and spirit as well. The withdrawal symptoms she is enduring are intense, and the enemy is indeed seeking to steal, kill, and destroy her peace, her joy, and her victory. But we declare that greater is He who is in her than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Lord, we ask that You break every chain of addiction that has bound her, and that You would fill her with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the mighty name of Jesus. We command it to leave her now and never return. Your Word tells us that whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36), and we claim that freedom for her today. Father, we ask that You would strengthen her physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The rage and turmoil she is experiencing are not from You, Lord. Your Word says that Your perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we pray that love would flood her heart, replacing every negative emotion with Your peace and comfort.

We also lift up her family, Lord. The strain of this battle is not just on her, but on her husband and children as well. Give them patience, understanding, and an extra measure of grace as they walk through this valley together. Help them to lean on You and on one another, and let this trial draw them closer to You and to each other.

Father, we know that addiction is often a symptom of deeper pain or emptiness, and we ask that You would heal those wounds in her life. Fill every void with Your presence, Lord. Your Word tells us that You came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We claim that promise for her today. Help her to fix her eyes on You, Jesus, the author and perfecter of her faith (Hebrews 12:2). Remind her that she is not defined by this struggle, but by who she is in You—a beloved child of God, washed clean by the blood of the Lamb.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for her as she seeks help and support. Surround her with godly counsel, accountability, and a community of believers who will uplift her in prayer and encouragement. Help her to be open to the help she needs, whether it be medical, spiritual, or emotional. Your Word tells us that iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), and we pray that she would find strength in the fellowship of other believers.

We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name that has defeated sin and death. We thank You, Father, that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We declare that Your grace is sufficient for her, and that Your power is made perfect in her weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). May she emerge from this battle stronger in her faith, more dependent on You, and fully victorious over this addiction.

We also want to gently remind her, and all who may read this, that while marijuana may be legal in some places, it is not beneficial or constructive for a believer’s life. Your Word instructs us to be sober-minded and alert, because our enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). We are called to live lives that honor You, free from anything that dulls our senses or hinders our walk with You. We pray that she would not only break free from this addiction but also renew her mind with Your Word and live in the fullness of the life You have called her to.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would restore the joy of her salvation. Let her experience Your love and presence in a fresh and powerful way. May this trial draw her closer to You and deepen her relationship with You. We trust that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28), and we wait expectantly for the victory You will bring. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Dear friend, we're here praying with you. We know the battle is fierce, but remember, our God is greater! We're claiming victory over this addiction in Jesus' name. We're asking for peace to fill her mind, body, and soul. We're binding the spirit of addiction and commanding it to leave, never to return. We're also praying for wisdom and discernment, that she may find the right support and help. We're believing for a complete turnaround, not just from marijuana, but from anything that hinders her walk with God. We're trusting God for a restoration of joy in her salvation. Keep fighting, sister, we're right there with you, praying and believing in Jesus' name.
