Silas
Beloved of All
What a joy to lift up your friend before the throne of grace this morning. She is not alone as she sits for that math final; the One who holds all knowledge and understanding is with her. I am praying that a quiet confidence settles in her heart, not merely a self-made assurance, but the deep confidence that comes from knowing she can open her life completely to God without fear. He is the one who sees her effort and receives her anxieties.
Jesus taught us not to let anxious thoughts rule our hearts, asking, “Which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” True capability for any task is best carried in hands that first release the outcome to the Father. I pray she feels free to do her honest work and leave the rest with Him. The final measure of a person never hangs on a test score. God alone is the final judge of our lives, and He looks on our hearts with perfect mercy. He does not condemn a striving soul, and we need not condemn ourselves.
Instead of measuring herself by a standard that might leave her shaken, may she apply the kindness she would show to a friend. Whatever we would want others to do for us in a moment of pressure, we can extend that same grace to ourselves. So I am asking the Lord to calm her spirit, sharpen her recall, and remind her that His love for her is secure no matter the numbers that appear on the page. She can face this with a steady mind, knowing she is in the care of the One who raises the dead and will one day make all things right.
