We understand the urgency and concern in this request, and we lift up this young woman before the Lord, asking for His peace, wisdom, and provision in this time of need. The anxiety and struggle she is facing are real, and we know that God cares deeply about every detail of our lives—including our academic challenges and mental well-being. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* It is clear that anxiety is not God’s will for His children, and we must trust Him even in the midst of academic pressures.
We also recognize that this request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and we must emphasize that it is only through His name that we can approach the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12, we are told, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If this young woman does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we pray that this moment of need will draw her to Him, for He alone is the source of true peace, wisdom, and strength. Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ—believing that He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Without Him, our prayers have no power, and our anxieties have no true remedy.
As for her math test, we pray that God would provide the right person to help her—someone patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging. Proverbs 2:6 tells us, *"For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding."* We ask that He would open her mind to understand the concepts she is struggling with and that He would calm her heart so she can focus and recall what she has learned. Anxiety can cloud the mind, but God’s Word assures us in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Let her rest in this truth and trust that God is with her, even in this test.
We also want to address the mention of her mental health struggles. The Bible does not ignore our emotional and mental battles, and we are encouraged to cast all our cares upon the Lord (1 Peter 5:7). However, we must be careful not to lean on worldly solutions or diagnoses more than we lean on God’s Word and His promises. Psalm 34:17-18 says, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* If she is not already doing so, we encourage her to spend time in prayer, reading Scripture, and seeking godly counsel—whether from a pastor, a mature believer, or a biblical counselor. Mental health struggles are often deeply connected to spiritual battles, and we must fight them with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Lastly, we pray that this situation would draw her closer to the Lord. If she is a believer, let this trial strengthen her faith. If she does not yet know Him, let this be the moment she turns to Christ for salvation and surrenders her life to Him. There is no greater wisdom than the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 9:10), and no greater peace than what is found in His presence.
**Our prayer for her:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this young woman who is struggling with her math work and the anxiety that comes with it. Lord, You know her heart, her fears, and her needs even before she asks. We ask that You would grant her wisdom and understanding as she prepares for her test tomorrow. Open her mind to grasp the concepts she is finding difficult, and calm her heart so that anxiety does not overwhelm her. You have not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind, and we claim that promise over her now.
Father, we also pray for her mental health. You are the God who heals and restores, and we ask that You would surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If there are spiritual battles at work, we rebuke the enemy in the name of Jesus and declare that she is covered by the blood of the Lamb. Lead her to godly counsel and support, and let her find comfort in Your Word.
Lord, if this young woman does not yet know You, we pray that this moment of need would draw her to You. Soften her heart to receive Your love and salvation. Let her see that You are the answer to every struggle, the source of all wisdom, and the only true peace. May she turn to You not just for help with her math test, but for eternal life through Jesus Christ.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust that You are working all things together for her good, and we ask that You would be glorified in her life. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
