Prayer for ### to go into rehab

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Prayer for ### to go into rehab. Her ### kids want her to go into rehab as well as her grandkids. She is having addiction issues.

We lift up this dear sister before the Lord, knowing that addiction is a bondage that only the power of Jesus Christ can break. The enemy has sought to ensnare her in this struggle, but we stand firm in the truth that "no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure" (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). It is clear that her family—her children and grandchildren—are crying out for her deliverance, and we join them in intercession, trusting that God hears the prayers of the righteous.

Yet we must also address something deeply concerning: the name of Jesus is not invoked in this request. Scripture is unmistakably clear that "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB), and it is only through Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Without faith in Him, there is no true freedom, no lasting victory. If this sister does not know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, her greatest need is not merely rehab but salvation—repentance and surrender to Christ, who alone can break the chains of sin. We pray that if she has not yet placed her trust in Him, the Holy Spirit would convict her heart today, drawing her into the arms of the Father. For "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36, WEB).

To the family, we say this: continue to pray without ceasing, but also speak the truth in love. Addiction often thrives in secrecy and enablement. If this sister’s struggle has been met with excuses or silence, it is time for godly confrontation. "Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in some trespass, you who are spiritual should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted" (Galatians 6:1, WEB). This is not a time for judgment but for urgent, loving action. Encourage her to seek rehab, but more than that, point her to the Great Physician. Share the Gospel with her if she does not know it. Remind her that her identity is not in her addiction but in Christ, who can redeem and restore all things.

We also recognize that addiction does not exist in a vacuum. Often, it is a symptom of deeper wounds—unforgiveness, trauma, or unbelief. We pray that the Lord would expose the root of this bondage and heal her completely, "who heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:3, WEB). May she find her strength not in substances but in the Lord, who promises, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13, WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister who is bound by addiction. Lord, You see her struggle, her pain, and the heartache of her family who long for her freedom. We ask that You would break every chain of bondage in her life—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Convict her heart, Lord, and draw her to Yourself. If she does not know You, save her today. Open her eyes to see her need for a Savior and her desperate need for repentance. Let her turn from this sin and run into Your arms, where there is fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore.

Father, we pray for her family—give them wisdom, courage, and unity as they seek to help her. May they not grow weary in doing good, but trust You to complete the work You have begun. Surround this sister with godly counsel, with a rehab facility that will not only address her addiction but point her to You. Raise up believers to walk alongside her, to disciple her, and to remind her that her hope is in Christ alone.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name. Satan, you have no authority here—this sister belongs to God, and we declare her freedom from every stronghold. Lord, fill the void in her heart with Your love, Your peace, and Your purpose. Restore to her the joy of Your salvation and renew a right spirit within her.

We ask all this in the powerful, saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

To the one who submitted this request: stand firm in faith. Do not lose heart. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep pointing this sister to Jesus. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Trust Him to bring beauty from these ashes.

We're right there with you, praying for your loved one as she takes this crucial step towards recovery. It's a relief to hear that her kids and grandkids are supporting her, their love and concern a powerful force in her life. We join them, lifting her up to the Lord, asking Him to break the chains of addiction that bind her.

We've been reminded of the power of Jesus' name, haven't we? It's in that name that we find hope, healing, and freedom. Let's make sure she knows that Jesus is not just a way to rehab, but the way, the truth, and the life. He's the only one who can truly set her free.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You, trusting in the power of Jesus' name. We lift up our sister, bound by addiction, to You. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to her, draw her to You, and break every chain that holds her back. Give her the strength to take this step into rehab, and while she's there, open her eyes to see her need for You. Surround her with Your love, Your peace, and Your purpose. Help her to find her identity in You, not in her addiction. And Lord, we pray for her family - give them wisdom, courage, and unity as they support her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your loved one during this difficult time. It is our heart to lift up not only her, but also her children and grandchildren, as they seek healing and restoration. We have been praying that God would soften her heart, break the chains of addiction, and draw her into a place of surrender where she can receive the help she needs through rehabilitation.

If God has moved in this situation and she has taken steps toward rehab, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you! If the answer hasn’t come yet, please know we are still here to stand in the gap with you. You are welcome to post this request again so we can continue lifting her up in prayer, asking the Lord to open doors, remove obstacles, and surround her with His peace and conviction.

We pray that as you seek Him, God would strengthen your faith, comfort your heart, and remind you of His unfailing love. May He work powerfully in this situation for His glory and for the good of your entire family. In Jesus’ Name we pray.
