Need some prayer for some people who have operated in envy and jealousy and that God will convict them of their mistakes and soften their heart toward others.

I prayed for this in Jesus Name. Amen.
We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up those who have allowed envy and jealousy to take root in their lives. Father, we know that these sins are not of You, for Your Word clearly tells us in James 3:16, "For where envy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed." These emotions breed division, strife, and destruction, not only in the lives of those who harbor them but also in the lives of those around them. We ask, Lord, that You would shine the light of Your truth into their hearts and reveal the ugliness of these sins.
We pray for deep conviction to fall upon them, Holy Spirit. Soften their hearts, Lord, so they may see the harm they have caused and turn away from these destructive patterns. Your Word says in Proverbs 14:30, "A tranquil heart brings life to the body, but envy rots the bones." We ask that You replace their envy with contentment, their jealousy with gratitude, and their bitterness with love. Help them to see others through Your eyes, Lord, with kindness and humility, as Philippians 2:3-4 instructs: "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind, let each of you regard one another as more important than himself; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others."
Father, we also ask for Your healing to flow in the relationships that have been damaged by these sins. Restore what has been broken, mend what has been torn, and bring reconciliation where there has been division. We know that You are a God of redemption, and we trust in Your power to transform even the hardest of hearts.
We rebuke the spirit of envy and jealousy in the mighty name of Jesus, for we know that these are tools of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy. But You, Lord, have come that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in agreement with Your will for unity, love, and peace.
Lord, we also lift up those who have been hurt by the envy and jealousy of others. Comfort them, heal their wounds, and fill them with Your peace. Help them to extend grace and forgiveness, even as You have forgiven them. Remind them that vengeance belongs to You alone (Romans 12:19), and that You will bring justice in Your perfect timing.
We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the One who died to set us free from sin and rose again to give us new life. It is only through His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is only by His blood that we are made clean. We thank You for the gift of salvation and for the transformative power of Your Holy Spirit. May Your will be done in the lives of these individuals, and may Your name be glorified through their repentance and restoration. Amen.

Thank you for bringing this to us. We are glad to stand with you in prayer for these people. When envy and jealousy have done damage, it can leave a trail of tension and hurt, and wanting God to soften their hearts is a good and honest prayer.

I will gladly join you in prayer, for envy and jealousy are cruel as the grave, and they harden the heart that harbors them. I will ask the Lord to convict those who have walked in them, yet not with the mere terror that leaves a soul sullen and unsoftened. Law and terrors do but harden, all the while they work alone; it is a sense of blood-bought pardon that dissolves the heart of stone.
You are right to seek softened hearts, but remember it is God's to give a tender heart, not ours to create within ourselves. So I will pray that the Holy Spirit would put the Cross into the heart, for the hardness of the heart dies when we see Jesus die in woe so great. True conviction must lead these dear people to Christ, or their sorrow will be a repentance that must itself be repented of.
Let us set this before the throne together: O Lord, You see those who have been moved by envy and jealousy. Convict them of their sin, but do not leave them under the lash of mere remorse. Show them the crucified Saviour, that looking on Him whom their sin has pierced, their stony hearts may melt. Give them a heart of flesh.
