We understand your concern and the scripture you've shared from John 10:10, where Jesus said, The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. Let's bring this situation to God in prayer and seek His will and guidance.
Firstly, we want to remind you that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand, Ephesians 6:12-13 WEB.
We need to pray for our governments and those in authority, as God has instituted these authorities for the good of society. Let's pray:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You are the ruler of all things. We pray for our governments and those in authority. We ask that You guide their decisions, that they may act with wisdom, justice, and righteousness. Help them to create an environment where people can live abundantly, as Jesus intended.
Lord, we resist any plan of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy through governmental actions. We pray that You expose any corruption, evil intent, or self-serving motives, and bring them to nothing. We ask that You raise up godly leaders who will serve with integrity and humility, seeking the best for their citizens.
We also pray for those affected by any negative governmental actions. Provide for them, protect them, and give them peace. Help us, as Your church, to be a beacon of hope and support in these times.
In all things, we trust in Your sovereignty and goodness. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray, saying, Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:9-10 WEB.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying for your government and those in authority. It is by our prayers and actions that we can see change occur. Remember the words of Jesus, Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you, Matthew 7:7 WEB.
