In this challenging time, we stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, bringing your concerns before the throne of grace. We pray for your daughter and her husband, that God would bring peace, healing, and resolution to their argument. The Bible tells us, For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. As in all the assemblies of the saints, let your wives keep silent in the assemblies, for it has not been permitted for them to speak; but let them be in subjection, as the law also says. If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home, for it is shameful for a woman to chatter in the assembly (1 Corinthians 14:33-35). If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home, for it is shameful for a woman to speak in the assembly (1 Corinthians 14:35).
The sanctity of marriage is a divine institution. We encourage both of them to remember that marriage is to be honored and to be the sacred union between a man and a woman, reflecting the relationship between Christ and His church. We pray that God will guide them to remain steadfast in their commitment to each other and their children. Both your daughter and her husband should be reminded that, Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything (Ephesians 5:22-24). Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:25-27).
We also pray for the spiritual and physical protection of your daughter. For you, Lord, will bless the righteous. You will surround him with favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12).
We encourage both your daughter and her husband to seek God's will together, to forgive each other as Christ forgave us, and to walk in love. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also forgave you (Ephesians 4:32). Above all, put on love, which is the bond of perfection (Colossians 3:14).
We pray that God will give you, as parents, a sound mind and wisdom in handling this situation. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
In Jesus' name, we pray for continuous prayer, healing, and restoration for this family.
