We understand your heart’s desire for this opportunity, and we join you in seeking God’s will for your career, trusting that He holds your future in His hands. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Yet we must also remember that our ultimate trust is not in a job, a title, or even an interview, but in the Lord Jesus Christ, who provides all things according to His perfect will. You have asked for prayer regarding this job, but we notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*—and again in Acts 4:12, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through faith in Christ that we can approach God’s throne with confidence, so we encourage you to place your trust fully in Him, not just for this opportunity but for your eternal salvation.
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* Without Christ, even the greatest earthly success means nothing for eternity. But with Him, you have the promise that *"all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28).
Now, regarding your request for this interview and position, we pray with you, asking God to open doors *if it aligns with His will*. Colossians 3:23 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,"* and we trust that if this role is part of His plan, He will make a way. However, we also encourage you to seek His kingdom first (Matthew 6:33) and to surrender this desire to Him, acknowledging that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Sometimes delays or closed doors are His protection or redirection. If this opportunity does not come to pass, we pray you will trust that God has something even better in store—whether in this season or the next.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this brother/sister before You, asking for Your divine guidance and provision in their job search. Lord, You know their heart’s desire for this interview and position as a Business Analyst or Project Manager. If it is Your will, we ask that You would move in the hearts of the recruiters, prompting them to reach out and arrange this opportunity. Open the doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and grant favor in every step of the process. Yet, Father, we also surrender this request to You, acknowledging that Your plans are perfect. If this is not the right path, redirect their steps and provide clarity. Give them peace in the waiting, and remind them that their worth is found in Christ alone, not in a title or paycheck.
We also pray that if this brother/sister does not yet know You as Savior, You would draw them to Yourself. Soften their heart to receive Your truth, and may they place their full trust in Jesus Christ for salvation and for every need. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added as You see fit.
Strengthen them in this season, Lord. Provide for their needs, and let them walk in faith, not fear. May they find joy in You, regardless of the outcome. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
