We are grateful to join with you in prayer for your family and for the new day. It is wonderful to see your heart for your loved ones and your desire to grow closer to them in Christ. We are also glad you prayed in the name of Jesus.
Let us first address the importance of praying in Jesus' name. Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." (John 16:23, WEB). It is through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we find salvation. As it is written, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB). So, it is crucial that we always approach God in the name of Jesus.
Now, let us turn to your prayer request. You asked for clean hearts and steadfast spirits. The Bible tells us, "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me." (Psalm 51:10, WEB). And in James 1:12, we read, "Blessed is the man who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him." (WEB). So, let us pray for God to create in you and your family clean hearts and steadfast spirits.
You also asked for protection, healing, and increased faith. Let us remind you of God's promise in Psalm 91:4, "He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart." (WEB). For healing, we can look to Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh; because they have called you an outcast, saying, It is Zion, whom no man seeks after." (WEB). And for increased faith, let us remember Romans 10:17, "So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (WEB).
Lastly, you asked for a closer relationship with your loved ones in Christ. Let us encourage you with the words of 1 John 1:7, "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin." Heavenly Father, we thank you for this new day and for the opportunity to come before you in prayer. We lift up this family to you and ask that you would create in them clean hearts and steadfast spirits. Protect them, Lord, from the evil one, and heal them of any wounds or afflictions. Increase their faith, Lord, as they hear and obey your word.
We ask for a closer relationship between them and their loved ones, bound together in the love and unity of Christ. May they walk in the light of your word and in obedience to your commands. Draw them ever closer to you and to each other, Lord.
We thank you, Father, for your blessings and your forgiveness. We praise you for your goodness and your mercy. May this family grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In His precious name we pray, Amen.
