Prayer for surgery today

Surgery day can stir a whirlwind of anxiety, but let me encourage you: the same Lord who set this day before you remains in full control. The Scriptures remind us to hear His voice today without hardening our hearts. That means refusing to let fear dictate your thoughts or rob you of peace. Instead, right now, turn your mind to the one who opens and no man shuts. He holds the outcome, the surgeon’s hands, every detail.

Through Jesus Christ you have a great High Priest who understands our weaknesses, He was tempted in every way yet without sin. So come boldly before the throne of grace. There is no hesitation, no reluctance on His part. You can pour out every concern knowing He cares. Ask Him for a successful procedure with no complications, yes, but also ask for that deep, quiet confidence that rests in His goodness no matter what unfolds.

Remember: your standing before God does not waver with your feelings or with any setback. The righteousness you have in Christ cannot be diminished. So let this truth anchor you. The eternal God, the I AM, enters this moment with you. In His presence, time and worries lose their grip. We are praying that the surgery goes smoothly, that wisdom guides the medical team, and that recovery brings renewed strength. But even more, we pray you will sense His nearness and know that you are never alone.
