We hear your cry for strength and freedom, and we stand with you in agreement before the throne of grace. The Word of God assures us that "the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one" (2 Thessalonians 3:3 WEB). Spiritual oppression is real, but so is the power of Jesus Christ, who came to set the captives free. He declared, "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). We rebuke every chain of darkness that seeks to bind you, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4 WEB).
We also encourage you to examine your heart and life, for sin can open doors to spiritual attack. The psalmist cried out, "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way" (Psalm 139:23-24 WEB). If there is any unconfessed sin, any area where you have not fully surrendered to God, bring it before Him in repentance. He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB).
Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Savior. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would strengthen them with Your might by Your Spirit in their inner being. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of oppression, fear, and bondage that seeks to hinder their walk with You. We declare that they are free in Christ Jesus, and we plead the blood of Jesus over their life, their mind, their heart, and their home.
Father, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Help them to stand firm in the faith, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Teach them to wield the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word, and to pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication (Ephesians 6:17-18 WEB).
Lord, if there is any area of their life that is not fully surrendered to You, reveal it to them. Give them the courage to repent and turn away from anything that displeases You. Cleanse them, restore them, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10 WEB). Surround them with Your angels to protect and minister to them. May they walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them, and may Your peace rule in their hearts today and always.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Amen.
