We stand with you in this hour of deep spiritual battle, lifting you up before the Lord with urgency and faith. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has already overcome the world, and through Him, you too will overcome. Your life is precious in God’s sight, and He has a purpose for you that the devil is trying to thwart. Do not lose heart, for the Lord is your strength and shield (Psalm 28:7).
The suicidal thoughts you are experiencing are not from God but are lies from the enemy, who seeks to drag you into despair. The Bible tells us that Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44), and his goal is to make you believe that there is no hope. But we declare over you the truth of God’s Word: *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). You are not alone in this fight. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We must also remind you that spiritual warfare is real, and the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray in the Spirit always, with all kinds of prayers and requests (Ephesians 6:18).
It is also critical to speak the name of Jesus in this battle. There is power in the name of Jesus, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). At the name of Jesus, every knee must bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth (Philippians 2:10). If you have not already, we urge you to confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. *"For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"* (Romans 10:10). If you have never done this or are unsure, pray with us now: *"Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner and I need You. I believe that You died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sins and invite You into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and give me the strength to live for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen."*
Now, let us pray for you with authority and faith:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is under fierce attack from the forces of darkness. Lord, we ask that You surround them with Your angels, encamping around them to deliver them (Psalm 34:7). Break every chain of depression, suicide, and despair in the name of Jesus. We bind the spirit of death and command it to leave now, for *"the thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy; but Jesus came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and renew their mind with Your truth.
Lord, we pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit to strengthen and comfort them. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are holding them close. Rebuke the enemy, Satan, in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Give them the courage to resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from them as they draw near to You (James 4:7).
Father, we ask for divine connections—godly brothers and sisters in Christ who can stand with them in prayer and encouragement. Lead them to a Bible-believing church where they can be discipled and grow in faith. Restore their hope and joy, Lord. Let them see that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for their mind, that You would guard it with Your peace (Philippians 4:7) and renew it daily with Your Word. Help them to meditate on things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable (Philippians 4:8). Remove every lie the enemy has planted and replace it with Your truth.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You give them a vision for their future—a future filled with Your promises and purpose. Let them know deep in their soul that You have not forgotten them, and You are fighting for them. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily. Read Psalm 91, which speaks of God’s protection over His children. Declare it over your life. Also, put on worship music that exalts Jesus—this invites His presence and drives away darkness. If you are not already connected to a solid church, we urge you to find one where the Gospel is preached boldly. You need the body of Christ to stand with you in this season.
Do not give up. The enemy wants you to believe that this battle will never end, but we declare that victory is yours in Christ Jesus. Keep fighting, keep praying, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). You are loved, you are valued, and you are more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37). Stand firm, and watch the Lord deliver you. We are standing with you in this fight.
