We join with you in bringing this need before the Father and we thank you for asking in the precious name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.
We know how wearying pain can be, especially when it robs us of rest, and we are reminded that our God both sees your affliction and desires to give you peace. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and He invites us to come to Him for rest when we are heavily burdened Matthew 11:28.
We are comforted by the promise that you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety and In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep Psalm 4:8 and that it is He who gives sleep to his beloved Psalm 127:2. We also hold to the truth that In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the pain that is being carried and the nights that have been restless. We ask for Your healing touch upon this body, that You would ease the pain and bring relief according to Your will. Lord, grant peaceful and restorative sleep, quiet the mind and calm the heart, and let Your peace guard this night. We ask that You would renew strength and restore the body as only You can, for You have said Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you Isaiah 41:10. Let Your presence be felt as comfort and safety through the night and let sleep come as a gift from Your hand. We ask this in the name of Jesus, amen.
We encourage you to continue to cast every care upon Him before you lie down, to quiet your heart with prayer and thanksgiving, and to trust that He who neither slumbers nor sleeps watches over you. If pain persists, we encourage you also to seek wise medical counsel, trusting that God often works through those means as well, while we continue to trust Him as our ultimate healer and source of rest.
