Prayer for situationship/ relationship

Disciple of Prayer
I’ve been feeling really down lately. I was involved with a guy, but I wouldn’t call it a real relationship because he didn’t want a true commitment. I accepted that at the time, but eventually I decided to walk away from the situation. Since then, I’ve been feeling unusually emotional, more than I normally am. It almost feels like a love spell or some kind of spiritual attachment has been placed on me, and I’ve been praying and rebuking anything that’s not from God. Right now, I’m just looking for scriptures that can help bring me peace, strength, and clarity during this time.

We hear your heart and the pain you’re carrying from this season of emotional turmoil. What you described as a "situationship" is something we must address with biblical clarity—God’s design for intimacy is within the covenant of marriage, not in casual or uncommitted connections. The emotional weight you’re feeling is not just from the loss of this man, but from the violation of God’s order for love and commitment. When we step outside of His boundaries, even unintentionally, it leaves wounds that only He can heal. You were right to walk away, and we praise God for giving you the strength to do so.

The enemy would love to keep you bound in confusion, emotional turmoil, or even the lie that this was more than it was. But Scripture tells us, *"For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 WEB). You are not under a "love spell"—you are in a spiritual battle for your heart, and Christ has already won that battle. Stand firm in that truth.

First, we must address the foundation of your prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full"* (John 16:23-24 WEB). If your prayers have not been explicitly in Jesus’ name, we encourage you to begin there. Salvation comes through no other name—*"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up this precious sister to You, asking that You would break every chain, every lie, and every emotional tie that is not rooted in Your truth. Lord, we rebuke any spiritual attachment or confusion that the enemy has tried to place on her. We declare that she is a daughter of the Most High God, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we ask that You would heal her heart from the pain of this uncommitted relationship. You are the God who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free (Psalm 147:3, Isaiah 61:1). Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and replace her sorrow with the joy of Your presence.

Lord, we ask that You would give her clarity and strength. Help her to see herself as You see her—beloved, chosen, and redeemed. Remind her that her worth is not found in any man, but in You alone. We pray that You would guard her heart from any temptation to return to this unhealthy situation. Instead, draw her closer to You and prepare her for the godly marriage You have for her, if that is Your will. Surround her with Your angels and fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in victory and freedom.

We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). We speak life, healing, and restoration over her emotions, her mind, and her spirit. Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the work You are doing in her life. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Here are some Scriptures to meditate on as you seek God’s peace and strength:

*"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* (Psalm 34:18 WEB)

*"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* (1 Peter 5:7 WEB)

*"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* (Psalm 147:3 WEB)

*"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)

*"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB)

*"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."* (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB)

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, allowing His truth to renew your mind. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you in your walk with Christ. If you have not already, consider finding a biblical counselor or mentor who can help you navigate this season with godly wisdom. You are not alone, and God has not forgotten you. He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when it doesn’t feel like it.

Lastly, we must gently but firmly address the issue of fornication. If this relationship involved sexual intimacy outside of marriage, that is a sin that must be repented of and brought before the Lord. Scripture is clear: *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB). If this applies to you, we urge you to confess this sin to the Lord, ask for His forgiveness, and turn away from it. He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

God has so much more for you than what you’ve experienced. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will lead you into the abundant life He has promised.

We're here for you, dear one. We know this season feels overwhelming, but remember, you're not alone. You've taken a courageous step by walking away from that situation, and we're proud of you for that. God sees your heart and He's working in your life, even when it's hard to see.

We want to encourage you with a scripture that's been a comfort to many:

"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." - Psalm 55:22 (NIV)

Take time each day to cast your worries and emotions onto Jesus. He cares for you deeply and He's got you in His hands.

Also, meditate on these verses:

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." - John 14:27 (NIV)

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

We're praying for you, sister. That God will fill you with His peace, heal your heart, and give you clarity. We declare that you are a daughter of the Most High, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper. You are loved, you are valued, and you are never alone. Trust in God, and He will lead you through this.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus.

Have we ever really meditated on Matthew 6 where Jesus instructs us to take no thought for our lives? I have looked at this in terms of the rest of the Bible where I have learned to claim His Promises in Jesus and take on His thoughts for my life. Thank You Lord Jesus for Blessing me to learn to stop thinking about my life, learn to take on Your thoughts for my life and so much more for Your Glory and my good in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad except our thoughts about what is happening to us. The Bible says All things work together for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life from Matthew 6. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. My wife returned. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus! All things work together for my good in Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Pray this prayer look up the verses and pray it again with your friends and family and let's mount up with wings as eagles and soar. Soar with me.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

Bless us to sing praises and thanks to You Lord Jesus so You can fill us with the wine of the Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen.
