We lift up your sister before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the deep concern and love you have for her. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord is close to her in this difficult time, even when she may not feel His presence.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who heals both body and mind. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 17:14, "Heal me, O Yahweh, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved; for you are my praise." Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon her mind and spirit. We pray that You would break through the confusion and fear that psychosis brings, and that You would bring clarity, peace, and restoration to her thoughts.
We gently but firmly rebuke the lie that this battle is purely spiritual and that she must overcome it on her own without seeking help. While we know that spiritual warfare is real, as Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places," we also recognize that You have provided wisdom, medicine, and professionals to aid in healing. James 1:5 says, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Lord, grant her the wisdom to seek the help she needs, whether through prayer, godly counsel, or medical intervention. Remind her that You work through many means, and it is not a sign of weakness to ask for help—it is an act of faith.
We also pray for her faith to remain steadfast. In Mark 9:24, a father cried out to Jesus, "I believe! Help my unbelief!" Lord, we echo this prayer for her. Strengthen her faith even in the midst of this trial, and let her feel Your love and presence in tangible ways. Surround her with believers who can speak truth, pray over her, and walk alongside her in this season.
Father, we ask that You would also minister to her family and loved ones who are carrying this burden with her. Give them patience, wisdom, and compassion as they support her. Let them be a source of encouragement, pointing her back to You and to the resources You have provided.
We declare over her life the truth of Philippians 4:6-7: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." May Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we also ask that You would reveal any underlying spiritual attacks or strongholds that may be contributing to this struggle. If there is any area of her life where the enemy has gained a foothold, expose it and break its power in the name of Jesus. We rebuke any spirit of confusion, fear, or despair, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Your Word says in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Let her walk in the power, love, and sound mind that You have given her.
Finally, we pray for complete restoration. We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). We trust that You are working all things together for her good, even in this trial (Romans 8:28). May she emerge from this season stronger in faith, deeper in her relationship with You, and fully restored in mind, body, and spirit.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
